Wassup guys...i will be starting orientation on July 14 for Train Operator and i have no idea what to expect. i am "off the street" and I have been reading the rules and regs book but i heard the rules are a bit different from the book. Anyone have advice?

Yes. The books the give you with the rules during our training, read those thoroughly. Reading things elsewhere, can mislead you. Wait until you get the stuff from MTA RTO.......

Thanks...how long is the training? how soon do you get tested?

 

Depends on your division. I will be a classmate of yours. Even though it says T/O under my username, I am still an OA B/O till Saturday........
