Vistausss Posted July 26, 2013 Share #126 Posted July 26, 2013 n88 buses are mostly packed. ... because the n87 isn't promoted well nor included in the LIRR package deal. Which is why it should be promoted and included to relief the n88.

Mtatransit Posted July 27, 2013 Share #128 Posted July 27, 2013 Artics are suggested by me for the n4, n6, n20 LIMITED, n22 LIMITED, maybe the n40/41, and the n88. It would be hard to get an artic into the bays at Roosevelt Field unless it was the last bay which has a bit more space. HTC can take artics from those side bays and people are crossing in the middle of HTC as it is anyway, so no harm done putting a bus stop there. If you were to put artics on the n88, I still suggest relief buses, but the frequency of the n88 should be reduced because the artics fit more people. Those artics just have to leave on time. I don't know how are you going to reduce the n88 even more. I think it should stay the way it currently is.
Mtatransit Posted July 27, 2013 Share #129 Posted July 27, 2013 Well if it coordinate to the LIRR schedule maybe that will work. Also I do believe that weekday service should be reduced. Besides most people won't want to move back anyways.
