Harry 1,089 Posted July 15, 2008 Share #1 Posted July 15, 2008 Now its time to see and to compare the differences in service changes and additions between a current NYCT Queens (Jamaica) bus map and a 1980 NYCTA Queens (Jamaica) bus map. The areas covered are Jamaica. 2007 NYCT Queens Bus Map 1980 NYCTA Queens Bus Map

MTA 2 MARTA 0 Posted July 15, 2008 Share #10 Posted July 15, 2008 How about the X24 what the deal with that route.
Q43 Floral Park 39 Posted July 15, 2008 Share #11 Posted July 15, 2008 It's the x64 now. It seemed to have a diferent routing back then because if you look it doesn't continue on Liberty Av past Merrick Bl. Okay I can understand why the Q79 was the Q12A back then but why was the Q30 called the Q17A and the Q83 called the Q3A? they didn't have any correlation to those routes. sebbieprops 0 Posted July 16, 2008 Share #12 Posted July 16, 2008 Thanks for sharing, Harry! I've never even heard of Metropolitan Suburban Bus Authority before. Must be completely defunct now.
PATCOman 196 Posted July 16, 2008 Share #13 Posted July 16, 2008 MSBA became Long Island Bus. There were some old 600 Orion Vs which still had the MSBA decal on it.
B35 via Church 10,338 Posted July 20, 2008 Share #14 Posted July 20, 2008 It's the x64 now. It seemed to have a diferent routing back then because if you look it doesn't continue on Liberty Av past Merrick Bl. Okay I can understand why the Q79 was the Q12A back then but why was the Q30 called the Q17A and the Q83 called the Q3A? they didn't have any correlation to those routes. pretty much all those SE Queens routes had single-digit route numbers, so I can understand the 3a/83 part of it... ...but the 30 being the 17a... I don't quite get that one either bro....
