Quill Depot Posted February 3, 2013 #1 Posted February 3, 2013 Local is longer, so I made the title take a longer time to read and comprehend. Threxx Posted February 3, 2013 #9 Posted February 3, 2013 WTF? That post is so long it stretched the page...
CenSin Posted February 3, 2013 #10 Posted February 3, 2013 The brains recognize words by shape, so duplicating letters doesn't slow it down much. You've simply stretched the "image." That's why people have trouble distinguishing "desert" and "dessert" when looking at the word out of context. The letter S doesn't have any ascenders or descenders to change the shape of the word. This on the other hand will slow down reading as the text is physically out of the range of viewing. Please don't extend words so long they stretch the page. Thank you. Lance. Please tell the site's web designer (whoever that may be) to force word breaks on long words. It's a simple CSS property. http://stackoverflow.com/questions/3058866/how-to-force-a-line-break-in-a-loooooong-word-in-a-div
Astoria Line Posted February 3, 2013 #11 Posted February 3, 2013 Jimmy, the 1st one is good. But you should fix your ISO and shutter speed when you attempt ones similar to the last 2. They are kind of grainy and blurry.

They are kind of grainy and blurry. 5th post that makes sense. Thanks for the feedback! The first one was taken at an ISO of 800, meanwhile the others at 1600. I should of used the grain reduction.
Minato ku Posted February 6, 2013 #13 Posted February 6, 2013 Don't complain, many cities don't have express services. Nice pictures.
realizm Posted February 7, 2013 #14 Posted February 7, 2013 Please don't extend words so long they stretch the page. Thank you. Lance. My bad Lance. I'll be more careful with stretching the limits of the image board software for the next time.
PATCOman Posted February 7, 2013 #15 Posted February 7, 2013 In what way is local "longer" than an express? As discussed many times in this forum, it is sometimes better to take the local instead of the express. Slammin pics btw.

As discussed many times in this forum, it is sometimes better to take the local instead of the express. Hmmmm.... The IND did have locals run faster deliberately via installation of less timers then on the express track on 3 and 4 track lines to prevent crushloaded trains on express routes. The IRT did the opposite. I think Two Timer was the one that said that.
