overclocked Posted September 14, 2013 Share #1 Posted September 14, 2013 I'd say it didn't come out too bad for an old film camera. Thanks.
Via Garibaldi 8 Posted September 14, 2013 Share #2 Posted September 14, 2013 You would get more thumbs up had you went to Riverdale to take this shot. Better scenery up there compared to the Bronx (Kingsbridge).

Better scenery up there compared to the Bronx (Kingsbridge). It's a long schlep considering relatively low personal interest to the subject matter. Low-Vs have brought me out to the area (Curve north of the 231st St.), otherwise chances of me coming to Bronx are slim to nothing.

overclocked Posted September 15, 2013 Author Share #5 Posted September 15, 2013 Ahh shoot, it's Lo-V, vintage subway train. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lo-V_(New_York_City_Subway_car)
realizm Posted September 15, 2013 Share #6 Posted September 15, 2013 Well I like how this is looking on film. The pic definitely has a classic feel to it which is highly commendable. Good piece of work right there, sometimes all it takes is one pic to make for a good photo thread.

peacemak3r Posted September 15, 2013 Share #9 Posted September 15, 2013 I think the shot came a bit too bright for my liking, but nice shot none the less.

Thats the thing with film, you only have one chance to get the shot, of course I could have edited it in Photoshop after processing, but there is no authenticity in that. Turbo19 Posted September 15, 2013 Share #13 Posted September 15, 2013 Nice shot bro! And... Seems like the only one who took things out of context was you evidently. He's just flaming you. Seems like the only one throwing a fit about it is you, LOL. Either way that's old shit, digressing.

I just found the whole thing odd and thought that if anything, if anyone took offense it would've been overclocked, but even he knew I was f*cking around. That's something to think about. I'm actually thinking of getting pics on film too now, looks like a heck of alot of fun from a photographer's perspective. I haven't googled it yet but I'm hoping I don't have to surrender my entire wallet and empty out my checking account for a legacy point and shoot film camera. Those things live forever, there are plenty of film SLRs available on craigslist or ebay, and they are dirt cheap. What is not cheap is film processing, you either have to learn how to use darkroom or pay CVS of B&H for processing.
