Says who? The OGs have a worse MDBF than the NGs.

Just my opinion …

Why would the MTA preserve an Old Gen for what purpose? Do you hear yourself right now.

the only old gen worth saving was 3783 and they scrapped it. I doubt they'll save any. The Museum doesn't care too much about the buses anymore. 3500 would have also been a bus worth saving as that was the first group to go to BP in the summer of 2006.

4408 at LaGuardia is also being stripped for parts.

For now, I see it kept at the depot, to be considered as a parts bus for the 137 Next Gens they have It's also missing a farebox. 3594 and 3736 won't be kept.

Also, I know I shared that post with 3594 and 3736 being retired. However, they are removed as well as fareboxes. I take fault if my post lead to speculation to this week, should of been on the random thoughts thread, although, they were actually retired. I only saw and shared it because I thought it was placed on the wrong thread when it's posted in the pictures section.

So this means all 3500s are now officially retired (minus the ones training) and all 2006s overall?

Yes, 3500-3599: 2006 units are all retired from passenger service.
