Not happening lol and got u to thank tbh.. been following this forum for 8+month... I have 6+ month of documentation from my sleep doctor.  I was diagnosed with mild sleep apnea.. not severe.. doesn't require c pap machines.. only was recommended to continue losing weight (lifestyle change)

 

Lost 50 pounds since and have 4 different clearance letters from my doc. So def listening to ya story was motivational bro 💪🏾

Congrats, what was the email like and what are some keywords? I have that problem sometimes finding emails that people said they sent!!!  It’s getting close to me!!

That's what's up bro. The beauty of following this forum! Wish I was hip to it before being called in for medical to avoid having to be placed on med hold for apnea and delaying my employment since '21...see you on the 10th!

So glad to hear there are still people being brought in for this position. I've been set back by family obligations and couldn't take the job after clearing a hold months ago. List number 34xx

Hey Hakeem, my suggestion is to not wait. If your name has been restored to the list reach out to Olha. Email address Olha.nyahay@nyct.com. Explain to her your situation. She’ll give you the best advice. Give her your name, list number and provide her with your details.

It came from Olha not nyct.. and omg the medical paperwork is 3x as long... and then it's basically a obstacle course(hearing,vision,ekg,BP etc) then you see the doctor.. they will either pass or fail you. .. I passed thank god, now about to wait another few hours to be fingerprinted lol..btw fingerprinting is 88.25$ dollars from a usps money order.. if you don't have it they will make you walk to get one from a nearby usps

I just did medical today after being on medical hold from last week Wednesday. I cleared medical and did the rest of the process. April 10th here I come!

Hello everyone, Quick question. If you work for the city already, does your Tier follow you when you transfer to Transit. Im currently Tier 4, 16 years with another city agency. Did my first medical last week. waiting for 2nd.

first medical? I think you mean pre employment?

In terms of pension the years will follow idk about the tier

its when you get sworn in, the class is the first official date

Your tier will stay with you, but you will still have to work for 25 years to get the full pension.

In those emails that they sent us for the drug test and medical appointments, it says not to resign from our current job until we've been appointed and given a start date

Does a traffic violation affect you for the conductor position? I got a traffic summons December last year. I didn’t know I had to sign one of those papers that stated I don’t have any pending violations. It said it was only for drivers so I didn’t sign it. When I submitted the papers yesterday, they made me sign that part and I just quickly signed it without realizing what I was signing for. I read the paper again just now and now I’m concerned about what can possibly happen. The violation has been pending ever since and I have no idea when they’ll mail me about a hearing or anything(I pleaded not guilty).
