Q101viaSteinway Posted April 25, 2017 Share #1 Posted April 25, 2017 I was searching the internet and I find this new triboro coach website which claims to be a transportation company related to old Triboro coach which was taken over by MTA. Anyone know anything about this? http://triborocoach.com/about/
Far Rock Depot Posted April 25, 2017 Share #2 Posted April 25, 2017 Well the MTA didn't take over triboro or any of the companies, only their routes and operations. The MTA actually leases most of the depots from the original companies. So I'm not surprised that they are bringing back the Triboro operations bit bit looks as If it will be a charter service Sent from my LGLS755 using Tapatalk
Q101viaSteinway Posted April 25, 2017 Author Share #3 Posted April 25, 2017 According to SEC filing, Triboro Green and Jamaica have been merged into a real estate company with the bus companies not running as a bus company and legally not existent. https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1368757/000104746907001119/a2176046z424b2.htm
QM1to6Ave Posted April 25, 2017 Share #4 Posted April 25, 2017 The English on the site leaves much to be desired. Doesn't Liberty Lines still exist as a private/charter bus company?
GojiMet86 Posted April 25, 2017 Share #5 Posted April 25, 2017 Liberty Lines Transit exists as a contract operator for Westchester, running everything except a couple of the shorter Orion V.

They can outright buy the property in 2025. Yonkers is owned by NYC and leased to MTA Bus. Spring Creek was purchased by MTA Bus in 2009. The DOT was the previous owner. Baisley Park, Far Rockaway, JFK, and Laguardia are all owned by GJT Reit Inc. and is leased to MTA Bus. The new annex building at Far Rockaway is owned by the MTA. College Point is owned by the DOT and is leased to MTA Bus.
East New York Posted April 26, 2017 Share #7 Posted April 26, 2017 That website is not real associated with any official entity or agency in New York City. It's just a very misleading blog, that might want to be careful using that name with a copyright. It still belongs to GJT if I'm not mistaken. BrooklynBus Posted April 30, 2017 Share #8 Posted April 30, 2017 They make sound as if they are still operating local and express routes which is outright wrong.
B35 via Church Posted April 30, 2017 Share #9 Posted April 30, 2017 Fraudulent blog using a former PBL to gain popularity.... Disgusting. This reminds me of the establishment in Florida that tried to piggyback off the fame of the real Katz's Deli... Same spelling & everything...
