mark1447 685 Posted October 7, 2008 Share #1 Posted October 7, 2008 From the News here: http://www.nyctransitforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5415 I found 1 Train with the ads similar to the Cars 2200-2196 on 242nd side if you didnt see here: seems like its expanding but what about graffiti, wouldnt it affect it, like back then when we had blue strips instead =\

Radioguy 2 Posted October 7, 2008 Share #4 Posted October 7, 2008 Like I said in the other thread, the wrap should encompass more of the front of the car. That's prime real estate, since it gets the most eye contact.
mark1447 685 Posted October 7, 2008 Author Share #5 Posted October 7, 2008 i was wondering if the R62As are the ONLY cars to get this, I wonder how R142/A, 143, 160A/B would look like with these
R32 3348 11 Posted October 7, 2008 Share #6 Posted October 7, 2008 They have tons of these up on the already. It's spreading so quickly among the R62A fleet.

BroadwayBuffer 40 Posted October 7, 2008 Share #9 Posted October 7, 2008 i was wondering if the R62As are the ONLY cars to get this, I wonder how R142/A, 143, 160A/B would look like with these  Looks to me that they are taking advantage of the smaller space between the two ridges on the sides of the R-62/As which R-142/As don't have. The R-142s look better suited for the full wraps since they would not have the ridges to obstruct the wrap at all. They're also somewhat more bland, IMO. The stripe adds don't look bad unlike the hideous full interior and exterior wraps. The only difference between it an the "graffiti epidemic" is that can at least cash in on this corporate graffiti. R32 3348 11 Posted October 9, 2008 Share #10 Posted October 9, 2008 ya but is it ONLY going to R62As? I think R62/As will be the first to get them. I think R44s and R46s will be next. R32 to R42s will probably not get them.

Cyberider 66 Posted October 9, 2008 Share #12 Posted October 9, 2008 It's bad enough to have ads all over the buses. I hate to see them trash the trains with ads too.

Eric B 1,073 Posted October 15, 2008 Share #14 Posted October 15, 2008 The band-only one on the shuttle is nice. They should sell all the band space on the 44's, since they have the ugly gray paint on the band.

BroadwayBuffer 40 Posted October 16, 2008 Share #17 Posted October 16, 2008 How man cars had the strips, if its two then it must of been the car I saw with the numbers i called =S I said in my post ALL cars in the consist had ad strips. I don't remember exactly what the car-numbers were (I'm not good with them), but they were definitely one of the sets belonging to to complete with the interior strip-maps. So I would think it was a different set then the you saw.
