Gotham Bus Co. Posted May 3, 2021 Share #2 Posted May 3, 2021 (edited) It's all over the news, but not yet on the site. Has Cuomo told the about this yet? Of course, TWU will file a grievance over the loss of all that overtime from the overnight buses. TWU will do anything to make them selves look good in the news but will ignore employees who actually need their help ASAP. I know from experience. GreatOne2k Posted May 4, 2021 Share #4 Posted May 4, 2021 Some people who take the overnight buses will now have worse commutes since not every bus stays near a subway line (Bx39 riders, BxM7 riders)
Wallyhorse Posted May 4, 2021 Share #5 Posted May 4, 2021 Perhaps Cuomo and the have found a way to get the homeless out of the system other than closing it in the overnights that is ACLU-proof. Obviously, pressure from Schumer to do it likely helped as well. I suspect Cuomo was fearful of a repeat of the incident a year ago in the overnight that killed a train operator on the happening again and opponents using that against him in 2022 when homeless were making the subways in the minds of many unsafe and what was believed then to be a health hazard.

underbankbldg Posted May 20, 2021 Share #7 Posted May 20, 2021 Had the privilege of doing a one lap of the entire system this week. So far, so good. 472 stations, under 27 hours, still a lot of room to cut.

But I commend your efforts.
