FlxMtroD Posted February 7 Share #1 Posted February 7 (edited) NJT can't screw this up can they?? You would think they have learned their lesson from the disaster of how they left 100s of fans stranded at the Meadowlands Station during that Super Bowl. It should be an "All hands on deck" with both shuttle bus and extra trains. Pay your workers overtime if need be. This time around, the whole word will be watching Edited February 7 by FlxMtroD

There was little to no communication with NJT and MetLife Stadium organizers. The folks over at MetLife didn't communicate with NJ Transit. Kingsbridgeviewer382 Posted February 9 Share #5 Posted February 9 Let's hope they don't. MetLife is hosting eight games in 2026 and will most likely be almost at capacity depending on who plays. There have been so many instances where NJT and/or Metlife have screwed over people trying to leave the stadium. WrestleMania in 2019 comes to mind where passengers had to wait hours before a train showed up after the show ran long.
Lawrence St Posted February 9 Share #6 Posted February 9 I don’t think you guys understand that FRA laws and rules play a big part in how they run shuttle train service to/from Meadowlands.

MetLife is to blame for the whole thing, not NJ Transit.
jass Posted April 5 Share #8 Posted April 5 Meadowlands is hosting some Copa America games this summer, which is a mini world cup. Kickoff as late as 9pm. If there are delays (ie medical pause) games wont be let out until 11:30pm. Will be interesting to see if NJT takes fans to Secaucus and then theres no connection waiting for them.

Unless there's a weather delay or an ungodly amount of injury time is added, there's little chance that the two group stage games end past 11:30. The third game, the semi-final match, kicks off at 8 PM with it possibly ending at 10-11 depending if the game goes to extra time or penalties.

With the current Fifa rules, 8+ added injury minutes per half is common, versus 2-3 minutes last time USA hosted. Throw in some SA rivalry and you should expect some games to see 10+ added.
