via White Plains Road Posted March 26, 2009 Share #1 Posted March 26, 2009 So Majinvegeta (Shane) and I decided it was our turn to catch the R-160A-2's on the #9238-9247 (full set) and #9288-9292 9248-9252. What a lovely ride on the R-160A-2's....they need to run more on the and boy do the C/R's need more training with these cars....again they messed up with the automated announcements. Also still are still R-32's and R-40M/R-42 running on the and also caught #9313-9317 9263-9267 and 9303-9307 9327-9323 on the @ Kew Gardens-Union Turnpike. We also bumped in R32 3838 and Malcolm from BVEStation.....great you see you guys:cool:. Here are the pics and vids! Videos: Attention Attention: Inside of R-160A-2 F train! MattTrain Posted March 26, 2009 Share #2 Posted March 26, 2009 Congrats! You just joined the R160A mania on the ! Your photographs and videos of the R160A on and others are really awesome! Anyways keep up the good work. The FINDS performed generally well, except with a few instances where the displays just froze, but it's no big deal. I think more R160A and eventually R160B cars will run on the more often since they're here.

Y2Julio Posted March 26, 2009 Share #9 Posted March 26, 2009 C/Rs are not responsible for the automated announcements. If I'm correct, the train does it automatically based on the number of rotations the wheel has made from one station to another, so if it has problems like wheel slips, it will throw the messages out of sync. I also merged the two threads since it's the same trip.
