Trains pics from yesterday (03/25/09)!

Recommended Posts

So Majinvegeta (Shane) and I decided it was our turn to catch the R-160A-2's on the (F) #9238-9247 (full set) and #9288-9292 9248-9252. What a lovely ride on the R-160A-2's....they need to run more on the (F) and boy do the C/R's need more training with these cars....again they messed up with the automated announcements. Also still are still R-32's and R-40M/R-42 running on the (F) and also caught #9313-9317 9263-9267 and 9303-9307 9327-9323 on the (E) @ Kew Gardens-Union Turnpike. We also bumped in R32 3838 and Malcolm from BVEStation.....great you see you guys:cool:. Here are the pics and vids!

Congrats! You just joined the R160A mania on the (F)! Your photographs and videos of the R160A on (F) and others are really awesome! Anyways keep up the good work. The FINDS performed generally well, except with a few instances where the displays just froze, but it's no big deal. I think more R160A and eventually R160B cars will run on the (F) more often since they're here.

Thank you very much.....I'm so glad its running on the (F)....I've been waiting patiently. Yeah the LED were either broken or frozen, but its still a good train. I hope also they run more on the (F) line!

Awesome Shots Curtis! Today was one helluva day!

Oh, just to add, prepare to see R160B 9173 to 9232 along Queens Blvd soon......Coney Island's order of R160s is complete.

Thanks Shane....yes it was one hell of a day and those new cars coming to Queens Blvd sounds great!

C/Rs are not responsible for the automated announcements. If I'm correct, the train does it automatically based on the number of rotations the wheel has made from one station to another, so if it has problems like wheel slips, it will throw the messages out of sync. I also merged the two threads since it's the same trip.

Nice catches on the R160A on (F). The R68A on (Q) looks great here too. Now let's see how many R160A (F)'s are going to run in these upcoming days...

Thanks and I hope (F)'s get more R-160's!

Well it started to mess up after leaving 75th Avenue.....the C/R or who/what ever had to reprogram the announcements like 5x just to get it correct!
