  1. The may have a longer trip and therefor more total route miles, but it has a higher spare factor than the which means each individual set is being used less than the ones on the .
  2. Oh so that's why I saw 6099 on the M15 Saturday... Hey man, I'm not complaining the 2017 units have good sound effects
  3. You should thank your lucky stars you haven't... I once had three wheelchairs on an M57 trip and it was exactly the clusterf**k you would expect.
  4. It's literally illegal to run local buses with steps. The Americans with Disabilities Act is legally binding you know... And to bring this back to trains, the ADA also requires recorded automated announcements and signage that meets specific standards for passengers with difficulty seeing and hearing. These things are not luxuries, they are requirements for people with disabilities.
  5. 255 front reader, rear base 4711, 7350 front and rear bases 7351 front reader only

  9. 62nd Street-New Utrecht Av will be online soon. They were doing installs last night.
  10. Kawasaki was actually very close to meeting the original delivery schedule until the suppliers for several key subsystems were effected. The train is reportedly complete enough that they’ve been signing it up as random routes in the factory. It looks good.
  11. New ad campaign on Brooklyn buses: I don’t think the drivers side wraps work quite as well on C40LFs as they do on NGs
  12. Now that you mention it, how tall is an LFS hybrid? Speaking of the devil, there's an XE40 on the M66 as we speak.
  13. I was rooting so hard for those buses to succeed. They were something different alright...
  14. 808 (the XN40 that caught fire on the B8) was spotted on a lift at Jackie Gleason, so it appears they are intending to repair it.
  15. I believe they have to turn off the readers on an individual basis in that case. There are some transfers at ENY from the Bronx whose readers are still active.
  16. that was the one that discovered the whole problem in the first place...
