  1. Bases installed at Bay Ridge Av, should be up and running by the weekend
  2. I find it varies greatly from route to route (and sometimes even individual sections of routes) especially on the bus side of things. For example I took the to the B38 Saturday evening and the was a ghost town but the B38 was mobbed.
  3. Aside from the fact that the SBS variant never should have seen the light of day, in theory it makes it easier to prep buses for it (and we all know how stingy the MTA can get)
  4. This thread took a turn I was not expecting
  5. I still do a double take when I see an C40LF on the B4... In my head it's still Ulmer Park lol
  6. I heard a work train stalled, not that it derailed also
  7. 20849 on 123, 20855 on 128 20881 tracking at the factory in St Cloud as we speak
  8. My guess for November is finish , and and perhaps some of Sea Beach and/or West End
  9. MCI is really pushing out buses huh... hopefully quality control is still good.
  10. The old scheme also just doesn't work as well on the modern, more streamlined buses as it did on the RTSes, Orion V's, C40LFs etc etc. This straight across front stripe painted over 6 different creases or indents with super tiny front numbers so they fit on that one panel while also still aligning on the blue stripe just looks extremely tacky (it's likely trying to paint an ACS-64 in the same livery as an AEM-7. It just doesn't work. And don't get me started on the LFSes with the straight front stripe that gets cut off by the windshield...
  11. there was at least one on the M86 today. You do have to remember there are only 15 of them.
  12. That livery was never Cuomo's he just accelerated it's rollout (and then spread it to everywhere else)
  13. They start out as school trippers east to Flatbush Av but now they do an extra trip back west to Bay Ridge
  14. I totally forgot the B9 has Ulmer pieces on it nowadays... Was not expecting to run into 4888 on the line.
  15. Man, as much as I can appreciate the Novas and Xcelsiors none of them can hold a candle to those original C40s... big, big part of my childhood growing up in Bay Ridge. They were everywhere.
  16. I like riding the M9 through the Village and the Lower East Side... you're not missing much past City Hall however lol
