The first phase of the SAS will be completed by 2016 (assuming it's on track for that opening date). The SAS was suppose to replace the 3rd Avenue El, which never happened and the El was closed anyway, so the Lexington Subway line on the East side has always had overcrowding.

And I believe they first began construction in the 1970s, so it's been over 30 years in terms of being something so close to reality, yet so far.

I've been dozing off on my subway rides home lately as well.

I barely get any sleep anymore yet I cannot fall asleep in anything moving.

I doze off in the subway as well. I gotta keep at least a newspaper on me to read and keep myself awake. The r142 bright lights don't phase me nor does the other sounds. I just somehow know when to wake up when I'm near my stop.
