  1. Usually when the has no service in Manhattan, the line uses all R188s since there is no rollsign available for the R62As saying it will end at Queensboro Plaza and 74 Street - Broadway.
  2. Seems somewhat useless. This is when very few people ride the subway. You want that Bowling Green service, there is the .

  10. I'll admit I got this from Wikipedia, and Wikipedia is not a reliable source, but an average NYC subway car life is 40 years. And you're right, there is no way to tell if the R62s will retire in the 2020s at this time. The earliest to retire them is 2023-26 b/c they started running in 1983 or so.
  11. If there was a plan to make R62Bs, it would have been made in the 1980s.
  12. Thanks Realizm. And good luck on your exams as well.

  13. PSATs tomorrow. Nervous even though it won't really affect my grades. Wish me luck.

  14. Yep. The earliest time to replace the R62s and R68s is 2026. Although the Kawasaki R62s are to be replaced in 2023.
  15. Yeah, and the will not see new cars until the R62As are replaced.
  16. It will be years before that happens.... It would be around 2016 when the R62As take over.
  17. All the converted R188s will look like Westchester's cars since it came from Westchester and Corona/Kawasaki mostly untouched the LED at this time.
  18. Ever since the runs every 16 minutes in the Bronx weekends due to service changes, I have not seen an R62A on the . The R62As might not be needed at this time, but it could be just me.
  19. Actually, I didn't answer my own question. I just said there were delays. I would say this if I had to answer my own question: Southbound trains runs express from 34 St to Canal St, Select downtown trains run on the from West 4 St to Coney Island, no between Essex St and 71 Av, and southbound runs express from 59 St to Canal St.
  20. There are no crossovers for the to use and there won't be a plan to do so after 72 Street went from a 3 track station to a two track station. Plus the extention to 63 street is completed and sometimes used for the during reroutes.
  21. They are..... did you look at the plans for the 2 Avenue line?
  22. Yeah do something like this: Due to a stalled train at Broadway Lafayette Street, southbound trains are running with delays. Also, due to a sick passenger at Canal Street, southbound are running with delays. Reroute or suspend the affected routes.
