That route dosen't even enter the Bronx. I can't believe the M100 slipped off my mind lol.
I guess that makes sense, but can't people read the terminals of the Q50 at the bus stop to see where this route goes?
I thought the Q44 is mostly in Queens. I guess the Bronx section was bigger than I thought.
And obviously you can't rename the route now because SOME PEOPLE ARE JUST GETTING USED TO THE NEW LABEL that was chosen for the QBx1/Q50 and it was introduced around the 2010 budget cuts.
I have a question about the Q50. I get how it got it's name but wouldn't it make more sense to have a Bronx prefix instead of a Queens prefix (Bx50) since most of its route in the Bronx, and if not, why? Also, are there any other routes similar to the Q50 that mostly goes into another borough?
But 59 Street has no gaps while other stations with this announcement do (14 Street, Brooklyn Bridge, Freeman Street, and West farms Square have gaps large enough for this announcement to play).
There was also a time when a downtown ran on the line earlier today.
Anyways the probably went on the because the northbound express trains ARE SLOW AS A TURTLE right now. I had to transfer at 86 Street for an uptown because it took at least 10 minutes for my uptown to get from 59 Street to 86 Street. When the I rode left 125 Street, the same set I rode earlier on the was just arriving at 125 Street.
Keep in mind the usually runs on the when there are delays on the Lexington Avenue line and vice versa.
Seems like a decent proposal, but I think there should be a diffrent route that should go to astoria, like a laguardia route like the Webster- Laguardia route proposal.
Not 100% sure. Remember the 8th Avenue line's Fulton Street platform was known as Broadway-Nassau a few years ago. I mean they could change the name if they want to, but I don't see why they would change the name so soon.
Why not end at 168 Street with the ? The is not as frequent or useful as the . If anything, have the end at 168 Street making local stops north of 145 Street and the would end at 145 Street.
In a way, it makes sense because the runs nonstop between Canal Street and Dekalb Avenue while the has 6 stops to go to between Canal Street and Dekalb Avenue.
Remember when the PATH was to connect to the IRT Lexington Line? If that is connected, I would add a 5th Avenue IRT subway from the Midtown branch and close the 6th Avenue segment. A transfer would be made at 14 street for the lines. Any thoughts on this proposal?
I meant if the will terminate at 138 Street southbound a few times. Sorry for not clearing that up.
But it was good to know that Parkchester trains are not affected.
So the starts running express south of Hunts Point PM Rush Hours today. When I rode it, it ended at 3 Avenue 138 Street. I'm guessing because there was a making all stops at this time and the service change was just about to end when I rode it. Does anyone think this will be an everyday thing until this service change ends?
The ends at 14 street. A special makes all stops between 14 Street and 34 Street.
The and has no service south of 42 Street.
The and extend to New Lots Avenue and Flatbush Avenue respectively during this process and make all stops (except Hoyt Street).
Yep. This means that the and are suspended, the and use the 4th avenue and/or the Sea Beach lines, and the goes to Forest Hills. without the Manhattan Bridge and Montague Street tunnels, how will they run?
Next one:
it is a few days after the 9/11 attacks, and the Manhattan Bridge and the Montague Street tunnel are closed for a GO. Reroute the affected lines.
