Exactly. When I left my house this morning. Only rain drops 💦 through my vehicle. However, streets are dry. TA over reacted on this one. By Friday and Saturday Temps: 70-80. Spring finally here.
The city got mostly rain. However, I see why they wanted to pull out the artics from service. Better safe than be sorry.
Something tells me that GH will get most of the next LFSA order, but also GH always running their LFSA buses to the ground. Just only if ENY CMF or Grand Avenue CMF did LFSA repairs and upgrades than this would be a different story.
Also, since the TA is not in the business of building new depots and Central Maintenance Facilities we just have to deal with things at hand currently.
What pictures of the new XDE40? Haven't seen any thing to that plus 9501 and 9503 are somewhere in New York City pending delivery.
Also, let's be patient in regards to the roster. Right now there are just too many moves being conducted. The LFSA order looks like its gonna wrap up within a few weeks for MJQ.
Now this is interesting. M4 I'd leave alone. Only for the mere reason that it's already Washington Heights to Midtown- Penn Sta via Mad & 5th. The only thing I'd do with the M4 is short turn it at Central Park So & 7th Avenue-57th Street for certain buses, all others to Penn Station. Maybe late nights have it terminate at CPS or 57th and 8th along with the M12
For the M3. That's a different story. There's no limited on this route and that's Washington Heights to Downtown. The issue would only mean which area has the better ridership along the M3 route.
I believe those XD60's they have are supposed to head Manhattan (MJQ) bound than eventually to East New York cuz technically GH has East New York buses.
Only if the XD60's that are currently at Grand Avenue were moving to East New York. At least they can have 12 buses in addition to the XD40's that are coming for SBS service for summertime pick.
You are correct. Do remember MJQ also has a buses that are TU/100th street bound along with the East New York fleet.
6031, 6096, 6098, 6100, 6102, 6103, 6104, 6106, 6108 are for TU.
6123, 6125 for East NY*
5486 is a LFSA Model.
You may be referring to 7486 and 7487 which are New Flyers XD40. That was also on the New York Stare Thruway yesterday. I was in the same area yesterday coming from Newburgh/Poughkeepsie- Exit 18.
Theres a New Flyer Plant in Jamestown, New York which is west from New York City via Rte 17/I-86 to 90/390 on the NYS Thruway Western Spur.
What B41 extension to Sheepshead?? I'm lost. The 41 doesn't go to Knapp Street I last checked. Also, the B4 should be based out of Flatbush. The B44 and the B4 practically stop within blocks of each other and it's a easier deadhead from the Sheepshead Bay end.
