  1. SC is taking a page from College Point. Honestly, I don't see anything wrong with having ads on buses. The day I see ads on these newer XD60's. At least a rear ad at the least. Doesn't have to be the entire bus.
  2. There was one on the B38 a few weeks ago. This could guess one thing. Proterra is doing excellent on the Grand Avenue routes. Juat awaiting the XDE40's to hit these Brooklyn streets. When I saw the MBTA XDE40 this was something that New York City needed either last year 2016/2017 or 2015/2016. Rode on a XDE40 in Boston. Bus is excellent and will do good in New York City.
  3. How. Wayyaminute???? That doesn't make sense. Is the bus re-numbered or not? That's the question. Obviously 🙄 the bus is already built and enroute to New York City any week now.. Any duplication of #'s from old to new results in bad registration for DMV.
  4. Try a few buses from each division. However, this new update making these buses look tacky. To me the best signs are the OG's 6490-6689 series.
  5. Makes no sense with these new sign changes. Also Flatbush has it.
  6. 587. Spring Creek now has information screens with digital MTA ads.
  7. Here's news 12 intake on the SBS services: http://brooklyn.news12.com/story/37912219/residents-protest-proposed-select-bus-service-plan-in-bensonhurst
  8. Local routes I've ridden (end to end): Brooklyn: B1, B2, B3, B6 (LTD), B8, B15, B17, B23 (2010), B35 (LTD/LCL), B41(LTD/LCL), B44(LCL/LTD/SBS), B46(LCL/LTD/SBS), B47, B48, B49, B54, B60, B61, B62, B63, B67, B68, B69, B78 (before the merger), B82, B103 Manhattan: M1-M7, M10, M14, 23, 34, 50, M101, 102, 103, 104, 106, 116 Queens: Q4, Q5, Q83, Q88, Q60, Bronx: Bx1, Bx2, Bx6 Staten Island: S78, S79.
  9. To look at the perspective of things: I think is good to have that stop added. The Kings Highway to Junction distance is pretty long considering with the Avenue L stop you do have the B9 plus the junior high school in the area so I can see some benefit of adding that stop to the equation.. Sad to say but you can't have a true express style SBS in Brooklyn unless you increase frequencies on the local span. Also, considering the local is NOT frequent since the treats the Brooklyn Division like stepchildren by cutting essential bus services in the areas that it serves with SBS.. Hence, 44 & 46. The 46 is a tragedy at this point.
  10. If I'm reading this correctly the original plan called for express style SBS from Church to Junction before the Avenue D stop (Southbound) was added before implementation ? Is that correct.. Here's the thing with Avenue R. (I haven't been in Sheepshead Bay in years to really study this). However, Avenue R was a viable stop on the limited after Kings Highway for connection for the B2/B31 and pretty much still is. Similar to what Avenue L is with the B9 connection. I believe the original plan Northbound 44SBS was Avenue U---> Kings Highway-----> Junction thus leaving out Avenue L.. Correct?
  11. Those 2 stops were added due to community influence. Especially Avenue L. Somehow, the NIMBY's in that area raised HELL to have a stop there. The original SBS44+ plan was supposed to go express from Avenue U ---> Kings Highway ---> Junction in that order. Now by adding the Avenue L stop it adds more to the trip. Recently- Avenue R is another stop that the community wants to have as an SBS stop. However, that got rejected. Slightly offtopic: @checkmatechamp13: How's the Staten Island Division's plan to revamp the express bus network. Hopefully they don't use this SIM idea
  12. Brooklyn: XDE40's (Grand Avenue currently*) and East New York is possible.
  13. Exactly.... But are the same people who complain for better service.
  14. No more Orion... New Flyer replaced that about 10 Years ago.
  15. That's the whole issue. Meanwhile the current 53xx buses are being over used and that the wants new premium fleet for the SBS. FB has some Nova parts that are done inhouse. However, extensive work is done in The Bronx. Does ENY CMF or Grand Ave CMF do work on the novas?
  16. How about this.. Send a email and have the media outlets investigate it.. If you feel that the article is BULLS*IT. At least there is movement to say that SBS is possible for cancellation for July.
  17. That is correct. The 41 should of been artic years ago.
  18. I believe M14 is first, than B41.. Correction needed!
  19. Allegedly, that is supposed to be next right after the M14SBS, but that's sometime in 2019/2020 tho. In order for the B41 to have SBS, it needs to get rid of the Dollar Vans/Jitney buses that are now invading Flatbush Avenue in droves. Not enough police enforcement on Flatbush.
  20. I'll say this.. It may have some red flags. However, there hasn't really been movement on the Canarsie side for SBS82 with exception or Remsen Avenue, and Ralph Avenue. Haven't seen any construction along Utica Avenue and along Avenue K.
  21. Here's the problem that I have with the B7.. Currently it is run by Fresh Pond.. Before this it was at East New York and Flatbush. If you extend the B7 to Bay Parkway this will possibly mean taking it away from Fresh Pond and putting this under Ulmer Park Territory. From Ulmer Park to Bay Parkway it is only a 5-10 min drive where as from Fresh Pond it has to deadhead via Halsey from Bushwick to it's stop on Saratoga & Halsey.. Basically from what I'm saying if you want to extend the B7 to Bay Parkway, swap depots, and also split the route. The Bay Parkway to Bed-stuy via Kings Highway is too long. B7 would operate in 2 sections: Section A: Kings Highway & Flatbush to Bed-Stuy via Kings Highway (Operation: Flatbush) Keep as the current B7 Section B: Bay Parkway & 78th Street to Flatbush Ave via Kings Highway (Operation: Ulmer Park) Establishing a new route: B50 The same goes for the B82. Now that SBS is postponed, they need to focus on some factors such as splitting the route, get structured bus lanes and possibly re-vamp the proposal so that the community is pleased and that the MTA can provide the necessities to produce the service.

  23. What's with the sign update on the newer XD40's?
