  1. I wonder where would they get the money for the Broadway-7th Ave CBTC from. They gotta phase the project first before anything comes up.
  2. These conquestors are in super deep shit with the authorities. Chs 2, 4, & 7, WINS-1010/92.3, WCBS-AM 880 already has stories and tipoffs, and a reward for the capture of conquestors.
  3. Transfers as of 1/2/24: 7370, 7371, 7414 & 7415 from AL to CO. 3628-3633 new to FRT 8083 from CA to Midvale Scrap Yard
  4. If it does not include “Happy” before it. And it’s actually New Year’s Eve (12/31) and New Year’s Day (1/1). Either or, it’s just another day to live off on.
  5. Rule number 2: Do not interfere with the operations of service when you are bringing a small vehicle on the subway. That will cost you an ejection from the system. Operators need a certain spot clear for an escape route, as you guys mentioned, for emergency cases. No wonder why trains get delayed. Because some dumb nut decided to pick an irrelevant argument with either the motorman or the conductor of the train, then people need LTW forgiveness papers all the time. I’ve experienced that myself.
  6. It’s not “New Years”, it’s New Year
  7. You mean the now defunct Ringling Bros. & Barnum & Bailey Circus. 6 years ago, I was on my way to Wilmington, Del and I heard that some of these conquestors and transit brats (those who don’t know how to behave when they see new subway or rail cars on their first day of revenue service) were going to the Amtrak Wilmington Yard (where new engines get delivered and old engines get scrapped) and derail the engines. So this is what I said: Do that and I’ll see you in 10 years and I hope this teaches you a lesson for trespassing in a spot you don’t belong.
  8. If these were the same conquestors who: were playing with the lights on the R46 cars while in passenger service threw rocks on the R68 C I bound during the morning peak a few months back vandalized 76 R46 cars that suspended the in early fall? then Karma is waiting at the door. IDGARA if they say “kids are gonna be kids” but these kids are to be taught a lesson regardless of their age. If u don’t see them outside, then grounding them is the action.
  9. He didn’t give a specific date. It could be from the 2nd all the way to the 31st. Remember: trains get sent back to CI for inspection and trackage checks before going back to Pitkin.
  10. Say if the Bronx wants to continue to use NovaBus LFSAs. Then the new XD or XDE60s (whichever they order) should go to MQ, then all Novas used as + buses at Quill can go to the Bronx for local service, while their + buses get Xs for their + routes. Same goes for Hale’s if they decide to keep the in the long haul (spring pick ‘24 being the latest). FLA could sweep the X order off the bat, but wait until the Brooklyn & Queens redesign takes effect, then we can start talking about it
  11. I wholeheartedly agree. I miss one train at one time, and had to wait 2 min for the next train, but point a gun a an authorized employee isn’t one of those
  12. Of all places, Prospect Park Station on the and . Since this idiot didn’t wanna wait for the next train, and she was on schedule to leave PP, then she’s gotta do what she’s gotta do. She gets threatened with a pistol, she’s got no other choice but to delay service and call the police. That’s the whole agenda of keeping passengers safe. Remember: it takes a**hole to f**k things up for everybody.
  13. M34 ran from 125th St to Wards Isle until 1980, when it merged with the M35. The needed that route for its 34th St Crosstown as they wanted every Crosstown route renumbered after the street it runs under: Street before. Now 8/9. M13. M8 14. M14. Same 23. M26. M23 34 M16. M34/34A 42. M106. M42 49/50. M27. M50 (Port Authority still M27 until 2010) 57. M28. M57 59. M103. M58 short lived 65/66/67/68 M29. M66 72 M30. M72, M30 to 58th until 2010 79/81. M17. M79 86. M18. M86 96. M19. M96 106 M19 M106 116 M20 M116 125 Bx15 M125 (6/22/2022)
  14. Correct on some, but not all. R30/30A 8250-8411 & 8412-8569 ran on both the and the R32s ran on Phase 1 & GE, Phase 1 & GE, Phase 1 & 2, Phase 1 & 2, Phase 2 R26/28/29: 7750-7959 & 8688-8805 to the , then the 8570-8687 to the R33 ML: listen real close: 8806-8835 on the 8836-8883, 8886-8967, 8970-9113, 9115-9130, 9132-9179, 9212, 9214-9215 on the until 1994, then the 9180-9211 9216-9223, 9226-9305 R33/36WF: 9307-9477 & 9558-9769 to the 9478-9523 & R36MLs 9524-9557 to the R38: & R40: 4150-4349 to the B, 4350-4449 to the L after 1991 and sometimes on the M. when 8350-8411 was transferred to the C R40M & R42: 4450-4549 & 4550-4839 to the J/Z. 4840-4949 to the L & M R44: on the A, and a few month on the JFK R46: on the F, G & R R62: 1301-1625 (lost 1435-1437, 1439-1440 & 1366-1370) on the 4 R62A: 1651-1910 on the 6, 1911-2155 to the 3, 2156-2475 to the 1 R68: 2500-2783 to the D, 2784-2915 to the CI yard, 2916-2924 to the Franklin Ave Shuttle R68A: N/Q
  15. This article should be filed under “Random Bus Threads”, NOT UNDER NEW YORK CITY SUBWAY!
  16. Q68 should be operated out of Grand Ave Depot because its service pattern does end at WBP. so why would it go to LGA?
  17. Once the first R211s went thru the 30 day test this June, and the proto was a regular, the fanfare stopped. You only see them when a new subway cars run for 3-6 weeks, but once week 7 comes, they’re regular joes or janes you see doing their normal activities
  18. Usually, when R211s get delivered, they’re directly sent to CI for set ups, installation and inspection before sending them to Pitkin for burn ins, training and revenue service.
  19. Mine is 2 days before you on 2/11. So whatever is left, then the rest should be back by then since it’s gonna be almost a year that the first cars went to service. Meanwhile 4165-4204 has yet to get here, right?
  20. The reason for future numbers was deleted was there was bus orders that were cancelled or never ordered because that one particular bus failed a specific test. Even equipment that you never see operate was bought or sent here for testing or service operations wind up being sent back after a few days. The plays a “Now you see it, now you don’t” scheme. Day 1, people be like “I wanna see it on this route or that route”.… but Day 2, it was sent back. Why? It failed twice: 1. Breakers didn’t malfunction right. 2. Miscellaneous parts. 3. Bus making company went belly up
  21. Spot on. Any kind of manager/dispatchers of said depots don’t pass along information to anyone not a member of the . So for a person to pass that Info according to “management”, you better be specific on who. I only see buses in “physical form”. when the ordered 400 8000 series RTS buses in 1990, I did not pass that information around. I only saw what was coming in from Brooklyn & Queens depots to the Walnut depot for 1 trip runs then off to the graveyard.
  22. What is up with these 17xxx series MCI coaches I’m seeing running in Market East Philly?
