  1. So then tell me, how are you going to run both the AND on Myrtle Avenue with the and already running at full TPH? Not just that, what about 6th Avenue?
  2. Censin, Don't you think it would be confusing if passengers see the again? They'll think it's going to Forest Hills, unless you do this: Have the run to 96th Street at all times except late nights when it will short turn at Myrtle Avenue. On weekdays it will run via 6th Avenue local, on weekends it run via 6th Avenue express. Have the run rush hours only to Forest Hills from Second Avenue temp to reduce the confusion between 96th Street bound trains and Forest Hills bound trains. NOTE: The would operate internally as part of the , NOT as part of the .
  3. But then wouldn't it be confusing having it go to Forest Hills on weekdays, then to 96th St on weekends? I would just have it run to 96th at all times during the shutdown.
  4. Wasn't the plan to have the run to 96th Street on weekends since sending it to Forest Hills was pointless?
  5. Problem is, she was already mangled enough. That amount of pressure on her between the platform and the train would instantly kill someone.
  6. I saw the video of them trying to get her out. I have no clue what the point of rocking a heavy R46 back and forth is going to do.
  7. I wonder if they're going to showcase the R179's at Hoyt Street like they did with the R160's a few years back.
  8. Things I've noticed: The FIND screen on the R179's are larger then the ones on the R160. The FIND screen has a higher FPS on the R179's unlike the R160's. The FIND screen is able to play visual clips, such as movie trailers. I believe it's almost like those new LCD advertisements they are installing on the R160B's.
  9. That's not what I was trying to say, I said if there was every a problem north of Essex Street, trains could be rerouted via the Bridge to Bay Parkway, then back up through Montague.
  10. I have a question; When they connected the Broadway tracks to the Bridge, did they HAVE to severe the connection to Nassau? I feel like that would make a lot of rerouting options become less of a pain...
  11. The has new Coney Island bound announcements now. Now they go "This is a Coney Island Stillwell Avenue bound N local train."
  12. Ah ok, just making sure. Another question; with CBTC on the , are there certain areas where the train operator must take over?
  13. But if CBTC does online, won't that mean that there will be less jobs for being T/O's?
  14. Oh brother, I've heard this excuse THOUSANDS OF times from residents. You people complain about not having enough transit options, but then you won't let us give you more transit options because of noise? Most of the RBB is still intact except for the stretch from the end of Forest Park to the ball fields, and also for Woodhaven Junction. They tore out the southbound platform so the northbound is the only one that remains. This can be simply fixed if they get back the station area from the bus company and build an elevated section from where forest Park ends to the destroyed end of the original bridge above the current Bay Ridge branch.
  15. Where do the R179's test exactly? Do they go back and forth between the end of the test track (towards Far Rockaway) and Broad Channel?
  16. I'm not being rude, I just asked a question directed towards ENY. But I will comply with what you said and calm down. Anyways, so where will the R32's from the go when all the R179's come?
  17. OK well I'm asking East New York, not Fan Railer...
  18. He was just asking him since he didn't say it, sheesh... Any ideas on when they will start their simulated stop testing?
  19. Did they return the new shortened announcments onto a R142?
  20. Track 4 on the shuttle is always the expandable one. Isn't that the same track where one door on the train has to be cut out at Times Square?
  21. Actually, this thing has been going around longer then you think. About 6 years ago I was waiting for the at Bedford Avenue, and something happened on the that said on the announcements: "...gentlemen, there is no K train service between *don't remember* and Parsons-Jamaiava Center. There are delays in train service." I think it's because the way how they set up those programs to play was by using the old Jamaica service pattern, which was mainly the . That or they just mistyped instead of .
  22. What are your opinions of having the run 24/7 except late nights?
  23. No sorry I meant are 2 Avenue and Grand St the only stations that have an already dug out space for the IND Second System?
