  1. The union dosent want to handle any case that dosent make them look good.
  2. So a big thing that I've been told a lot by my B/O friends is "preventable accidents" in bus operations. But what exactly qualifies as a preventable accident? For example, I was sitting in front of Jay St and a bus was making the turn and some dude ran up to the bus as it was still moving, leaped off the bus by doing a kick off of the bus, and ran way. This all happened while the bus was still moving. Would this be a "non-preventable accident"?
  3. I'm more shocked at what he just threw away. $110k a year??? That's like $10k a month down the drain. And for what??
  4. I will never get why people will post incriminating evidence of themselves on the internet for clout... https://nypost.com/2021/08/15/cops-seek-mta-motorman-who-let-gal-pal-drive-d-train-in-nyc/?utm_campaign=iphone_nyp&utm_source=facebook_app
  5. Does anyone know what bus used to stop in front of the York St entrance? There's an abandoned bus stop pole here.
  6. Either I'm extremely tired or I could've sworn I just saw some type of C40LF running down Hylan Blvd an hour ago with a "B34" sign on the back...
  7. I wasn't getting worked up lol. It was more of a statement since twitter is full of "this operator isnt wearing a mask" blah blah complaints from passengers.
  8. You try wearing a mask for 8 hours of the day driving a bus in stressful conditions. I'm not excusing it, but give em a break...
  9. I really dont get how the interior seating is an "improvement". It's a step backwards with less seating.
  10. Is there a certain rule or something that retired buses HAVE to be towed to Eastchester?
  11. Not to be rude, but those responses were in reference to the entire redesign plan. If the Bronx is getting redone, that means all the data they collected for all 3 boroughs so far has to be redone and started from scratch, including Brooklyn. From what I hear, the Brooklyn redesign draft plan was halfway done before COVID shut everything done.
  12. I love how they try their absolute best to not say "CBTC issue".
  13. I was referring to the finalized plan, such as the Bx6 +SBS+ to Pelham Bay Park.
  14. Don't mean to go off topic, but what the heck is an M60 doing in Soundview? Also, if the really wants to save on costs, I highly hope they revert to the old scheme. The new gold scheme costs somewhere between $9k-$11k for one.
  15. I have a feeling that they're going to scrap the Bronx redesign and do it again from scratch.
  16. Riders also didn't like when service at 2nd Av was reduced in half when the was discontinued.
  17. I see. However, with the OMNY program, isn't the plan to replace all of the troublesome metrocard vending machines with brand new ones, effectively reducing the amount of time a machine breaks down/is down?
  18. Or just run the as WPR Express. But would rather do things the non-efficient way...
  19. https://pix11.com/news/transit/transit-workers-advocated-push-back-against-mtas-possible-cashless-system/?fbclid=IwAR0nMkspoj27xy5znwWlD6ZmKM8dYgf-YpY0NUNPNAt-dm0JbPk5wdoSuo0 I don't understand why this is an issue. Maybe its because I'm seeing it from my own POV, but why do people keep saying OMNY is suppose to be cashless when it isnt?
  20. https://pix11.com/news/local-news/cuomo-under-fire/ny-gov-andrew-cuomo-resigns-amid-sexual-harassment-allegations/?fbclid=IwAR03lT-P39BXYLvIQfUOMwPVROEaFxAPiGmNdswgB98_ns0ozUWJi0tFmgk Perhaps this will finally mean he stops ruining the !
  21. I do not trust the information put out by trip Planner. The two times I've used it, whoever programmed the G.O's did it incorrectly and all the times that were listed weren't syncing with the actual schedule. As a result, i got a writeup for getting to work late. Never used it again after that.
  22. That's because the R160's don't have that "glitch" - yet. The R179's, even though they have the next stop glitch, don't have the station announcement glitch. This is evidenced by when the R179's were burn in testing on the line and they were signed up as the to Euclid, which used the 's station announcements for all of Fulton St. The R211's do have this glitch, which is why Rector St from the was used on the , since it is the first recording in the list. Once that train reaches Queensboro, it will default back to the 's regular announcement since there's no other variation.
