  1. Well this is confusing. I am guessing they already began testing starting with the lowest numbers recently, but I will call on Monday and see what list # they're up to. And I sent you a reply, unless I missed the send button and it's stuck in my drafts again...
  2. So I just got another update from the exam unit, however the wording makes it seem like they already began testing? @+Young+ They told me if I want to see what list number they're up to, I had to call the employment center but it brings me to the automated menu that dosent even have that option. Thoughts?
  3. Not exactly, for some reason they're splitting the in two sections, with one running between Court Sq & Bedford-Nostrand and the other between 4th Av-9th St & Coney Island. Would've made more sense to call the southern portion the , but it is what it is. Side note: Why did they stop running the to Ozone Park overnight during this type of service change? Seems like a waste to have both the , and Lefferts running all at once.
  4. Another interesting fact: Back when R142A's were on the , trains coming from 3 Av-138 St would always announce "This is a Brooklyn Bridge bound local train". trains coming from Pelham Bay Park would always announce "This is a Brooklyn Bridge bound train" There's also a lot of programs that were made in preparation for the original tunnel shutdown repair work. There was recently a to 18th Av program created, however it is glitched (as everything else does when it comes to making sign programs for the NTT).
  5. Actually, one major difference between the mockup & the actual thing is the addition of the CBTC cabinet where the wheelchair space used to be (like on the R188's.) On both mockups, it isn't there.
  6. If I'm not mistaken, the XE60's haven't been on the M60-SBS after a few of them lost charge in the middle of their runs. And I'm not sure how they're doing the M14 runs right now with the XE60's, maybe an operator can further explain, but if an XE60 is running low on a charge do they send out another bus to replace it on the same run?
  7. That's what happens when governs every dam thing they buy. There are times I be coming home from Lake George on I-87 and see the new Nova HEV units absolutely FLY down the interstate at 65-75 MPH. That being said, where the hell do they even charge the XE60's without the charging bay like at Williamsburg Bridge Plz?
  8. So are the R32's perm sidelined from service now? The still isn't at full capacity and I have no idea where they're gonna get the sets to run the expanded service without the R32's.
  9. Is the blue stripe on the C40LF's painted or vinyl?
  10. Honestly, just forget it. You do your own thing. I'm to old for this bickering.
  11. See, and this is exactly what I meant about you getting the wrong people in trouble. At least do your research before you slander someone's name with accusations like that, which me and MULTIPLE other people have told you to stop doing.
  12. What are they doing? This whole hiring process is a mess. They're calling off the recent two exams PLUS the upcoming one this summer? There has to be a better way to hire people, because this is completely counter-productive...
  13. Some of these dispatches are cold hearted, I don't blame him for one, but driving through a flood? After that entire Staten Island bus flood fiasco, they sent out a memo to NOT do that.
  14. Perhaps my memory is foggy (I haven't been to Forest Park in a LONG time), my apologies. Taking a look at Google Maps, you are correct the apartment building is on the side of the ROW, I don't know why I thought it was directly in front (probably confusing it for the apartment building in front of the NYWB leads at 180th St). The baseball field however does look like it takes up both trackways to the front, as well as the spur to the adjacent LIRR tracks. That school bus parking lot is the major issue. It has taken up the entire ROW including a part of the old stations SB platform. Now I'm not sure if the city filled in the connection to the Atlantic Branch, or if Logan Bus took it upon themselves to do it, but it'd be costly to get that connection back. On the north end of the line, there's also the Athletic Association that has seemed to take up one trackway on the former ROW. Another issue, how is the connection to QBL suppose to happen? You can tunnel under the LIRR tracks, but then you have all these houses in-between there and Queens Blvd.
  15. Where are you seeing that? If you go to the north end of Forest Park its literally right in front of the ROW.
  16. Did they also send you an email or was it just a callback?
  17. That seems odd. Whats that suppose to be for?
  18. Nope, but we still have a month and a half left. I believe the last exam is nearing the end of the hiring list, but this is , so we'll never know until it happens.
  19. That school bus parking lot & new apartment building in Forest Park & new baseball field & Home Depot that are perm built on the ROW say otherwise. How do you expect the city to do that and not get backlash. And your third point, if you add service to one QBL local line, the other has to be reduced to allow it or you'll have trains all over the dam place. Queens Blvd is scheduled the way it is just so trains don't end up blocking one another. And another point, each Queens Blvd line is fed into a mainline in Manhattan which shares tracks with another line running with it. You can't add 10 TPH to the and expect the and to continue functioning the way they do, it would throw the entire southern Broadway Line & 6th AV line off schedule. This also directly affects the since the now has reduced headways which screw up the departures on 8th Av. Unless you de-interline Queens Blvd Local completely, it will always be a problem.
