  1. 1020 is on a legal hold, that bus ain't going anywhere for a LOOOOOOOOONG time.
  2. Can anyone confirm if the old platforms at Times Sq, along with the view of the 7th line, is now closed off?
  3. Alright, I split the B6 into two routes. Less confusion, now branded as the Williamsburg Connectors. The B7 is also split into the B7 & Q2. I wasn't a fan of splitting it, but you guys were so... I've also added in the B9 (formerly B37), service now runs to Cadman Plaza.
  4. Now I see it. Are the "C" cars basic trailers with no needed components?
  5. Was it mentioned in the press release that there's an option order of 6 car sets?
  6. 1. Correct, sorry about that. 2. Theres special routing to avoid that. 3/4. While you do have a point, theres no need to be running two separate services from Gateway to the . Look at the W20 in Cross County, it has a major gap between both directions. The B6 internally operates in a special way. Bus one operates via Kent & Drag the whole block, while bus two operates via Bedford & Driggs. 5. Don't confuse what I said with delusion. Certain routes cant be combined with each other.
  7. Wasn't that bus on the B12 a few weeks ago? Why is it in Ronkokokokomana?
  8. 1. Because it runs via Seneca. 2. Yes 3. It's a circulator route. If it wasn't for the traffic underneath the EL, I'd have it be a full circulator route. 4. Not really, they're doing it for the Bx11. It's not confusing as long as people pay attention. 5. That's the point. There's no reasoning behind running two routes on Myrtle Av. Myrtle Av also does not have a lot of traffic.
  9. R142A: QUAKER RIDGE THE NEXT STOP IS KINGSBRIDGE RD 1:23 PM
  10. Current buses out of service for more then a month: 292 1002 1047 1054 1108
  11. 464 looks to be on a maintenance hold at Gleason, while walking to 36th St it looks like the front windshield is smashed in/cracked, can't confirm tho. 808 towed from Gleason around 4-5 months ago, current location unknown. 587 is somehow back in service, despite having the front of it's frame caved in from that SUV smashing into it.
  12. I decided to split the redesign topic from the actual redesign thread to not clutter is. Here's the Brooklyn Redesign I started working on last week. My objective with the redesigns is to have better connectivity while also reducing un-needed costs, in other words, being realistic and doing it the way MTA would do it, but better. Without any further ado, here we are! Remember, this is a WORK IN PROGRESS! Any feedback would be greatly appreciated and I'd like for us to come together to better our bus network! ROUTES: B1: Red Hook to DUMBO via Dwntn Bklyn. B2: Red Hook to Park Row/Manhattan via Dwntn Bklyn B3: Downtown Brooklyn to ENY (formerly B25). B4: Downtown Brooklyn to Myrtle-Wyckoff Av (formerly B38). (NOTE: B4 Local buses run only between Bushwick Av & Downtown Brooklyn days & evenings), B4 LTD buses run whole route.) B5: St. Marks Av to Cortlandt St via 7 Av. B6: Long Island City to Long Island City - East Williamsburg Circulator. B7: Cadman Plaza to 121st St via Myrtle Av. B8: Broadway Junction to New Lots Av via Gateway Mall. B15 LCL: McDonald Av to Loring Av. Late night service runs the entire route, but alternates between Loring Av & JFK Airport. B15 SBS: Brooklyn Army Terminal to JFK Terminal 5 via Church Av/New Lots Av/Linden Blvd. Late night service does not run. B90: Williamsburg Bridge Shuttle Q1: 11th St (Queens) to Downtown Brooklyn via Division Av.
  13. I was referring to weekend overnight service. I've taken the B63 overnight for the past 2 weekends for a consultation trip and I was the only person on the bus, along with someone else who got on for only 2 stops.
  14. Connectivity really. Similar to what I did with the B6.
  15. Well, I do have to replace the eastern portion of the B45 as the B5 no longer services that section, but the B69 would now operate via Downtown Brooklyn, with the B65 running via the B69 to Cadman Plaza.
  16. I haven't gotten to the B69 yet but I'm not having it run that way. To the last point, I agree. I'm going to move it to 7th Av to bypass the circle.
  17. My reasoning for running it via Prospect Park W was to have a connection to the B68, but I guess that works better.
  18. I'll have something replace that portion eventually. Yes, I realized that after I made the map. The B5 runs via 7 AV NB and Prospect Pk W SB.
  19. Do the side signs on the mockup look bigger then the actual thing?
  20. Exactly my point. In my redesign, anything that parallels the subway no longer has overnight service, with the exception of certain routes that connected non-ADA stations with ADA ones.
  21. I rode the B63 yesterday out of boredom, and wow, the hawk on the B63 only gets 1 passenger for the entire trip between DUMBO & Shore Road. Is overnight service really needed on this bus?
  22. Progress #3: ROUTES: B1: Red Hook to DUMBO via Dwntn Bklyn. B2: Red Hook to Park Row/Manhattan via Dwntn Bklyn B3: Downtown Brooklyn to ENY (formerly B25). B4: Downtown Brooklyn to Myrtle-Wyckoff Av (formerly B38). (NOTE: B4 Local buses run only between Bushwick Av & Downtown Brooklyn days & evenings), B4 LTD buses run whole route.) B5: St. Marks Av to Cortlandt St via Prospect Park. B6: Long Island City to Long Island City - East Williamsburg Circulator. B7: Cadman Plaza to 121st St via Myrtle Av. B90: Williamsburg Bridge Shuttle Q1: 11th St (Queens) to Downtown Brooklyn via Division Av. ----- B6 Explained: While the B6 is now a circulator route, internally, each bus would operate in one direction (for example, trip one continually runs via Wythe Av & Bedford Av, while trip two continually runs via Kent Av & Draggs Av). This combines two similar portions of the B32 & B62 to create a new neighborhood connector, serving two subway stations and ferry terminals. No matter what bus you get on, its the same time to get to either subway station.
  23. service in Manhattan is a mess today. 20 minute waits and no rerouting of the via Lex Local to cover the gaps in service. Do they not have enough cars to run the or something?
