  1. Right, skip a whole test (#1100) and hire new people. No wonder they have a bus op shortage, they're all over the place with hiring.
  2. This is extremely vague. Is this for MTABus, Mabstoa, nyct??? That link is also invalid and nothing shows up on the careers site.
  3. Right, this was one thing I never understood. It also implies that it is run by Bus and makes similar stops as the BxM4B, yet it doesn't make any Bronx stops. YM1 would have been a better designation.
  4. The reason for splitting the B4, B6 & B82 is to reduce the needs for turns. There's no reason why the B82 should be ending at Bensonhurst when it can be extended to Bay Ridge to make it a true crosstown line. Same thing with the B4.
  5. The abandoned platforms at Hoyt St are getting walled off.
  6. Ok so, how about having the B35 extended to New Lots Av, and extending the B35 to BAT during summer months? Now, I moved down to the Bay Ridge Area, I was thinking of doing this: B10 (formerly western portion of B4 + eastern portion of B82) Bay Ridge to Spring Creek Towers via Bay Ridge Pkwy + Kings Hwy. B11: Coney Island - New Lots Av
  7. R188 Interior: TO WEST ST FLUSHING EXP THE NEXT STOP IS 23 ST-CHELSEA 7:12 PM
  8. We're still going to have a bus shortage no matter what. And considering we shouldn't be cutting service when ridership is coming back, it's the best solution, especially on the express side. Some of those 2002 MCI's are good runners and don't give the depot much trouble (for example 2910). Not to mention MTA can't order more buses right now since they already did all the options from Prevost.
  9. There's a rumor going around that the recently retired flipdot MCI's might return to SI to replace the destroyed Prevosts.
  10. To the last point, pax simply need to pay attention. We have lots of routes with variants and no matter what you put on the bus signs, people just won't pay attention. Case in point, M34/M34A.
  11. What do you mean why? The ferry has a straight route to Lower Manhattan & the Rockaways without having to use the subway. An extra 5 minutes to the B15 runtime isn't a big deal.
  12. The justification for running it to the Army Terminal is to connect it with NYC Ferry.
  13. I'm actually being totally serious. The current B82 service pattern goes all over the place yet that was well liked.
  14. Whats with these flashing clearence lights on the new Nova Buses?
  15. This is 100% right. You should see the the underbodies of the 20 or so NABI buses that operate in Atlantic City, the underbodies were so corroded with salt water they had to get rebuilt.
  16. The Nova's are done. Some of them were submerged in water for nearly 12+ hours, it simply can't be saved unless you rebuild the entire thing and the cost for the bus isn't worth it.
  17. Official finalized bus losses due to Hurricane Ida: 2225 2716 7047 8244
  18. And it'll be back in service by the end of the week 🤣
  19. So for the 42nd St shuttle... I already know there are 2 six car sets running on the shuttle right now. But there's also another set at 207th & another one at CI getting SMS'd. So how many cars are actually assigned to the shuttle now?
  20. You kind of do sound like one, no offense. If a bus hasn't entered service for a while, it's either at CMF getting fixed or at Eastchester on a hold, so basically a transfer. 1054 has been missing for the past three or so months and it's not at West Farms or Gleason, just an example.
