  1. That's probably a small group of fanners. I doubt the average people of Glen Oaks and Floral Park want a subway and would be fine with a 10-20 min bus ride to the subway.
  2. It's overkill. The and already have reliability issues and the last thing we need is for them to be longer... you also have to consider that residents out there don't want a subway and that we really only need extensions in areas to decongest bus lines like the to FLB, to Springfield (with it maybe running express after 71st to counter the effect of a longer route), and to LGA and then Flushing to siphon some riders.
  3. I don’t know about you, but I think a Montague-Hoyt tunnel would be much better in terms of cost-benefit than a slow ass to the county line or a unnecessarily long to Floral Park...
  4. I’d imagine they would add it sooner than other stops given its higher ridership, but they just chose Neptune (a stop located in the middle of giant apartment complex) which is ranked at 410 in the system.
  5. Why did they choose Neptune for the next round considering other busier stations aren’t planned for it? It’ll still be interesting though considering the layout of the station.
  6. How many people use the to vs to ? Did the MTA consider increasing service to relieve crowds on the with fewer local trains?
  7. While I do see the MTA doing things like cutting back the weekend , cutting weekend service, and turning the into a Dyre shuttle on the weekends, there’s no way I see them cutting the Franklin shuttle or the weekend - those neighborhoods would throw a fit and cutting them wouldn’t do too much considering that Franklin doesn’t have a lot of G.Os while the usually just gets cut back on the weekends (the most I’d see them do is cut it back to Times Square).
  8. I hope that NYC Ferry won’t get a free transfer... it’s so ridiculously subsidized for a premium service that only helps richer people on waterfronts. If express bus riders must pay $6.50 so can ferry riders.
  9. Why does the do so better on the weekends? Is it because it’s the sole line for a good portion of its route?
  10. Isn’t there a lot of support for reopening Nostrand’s mezzanines and exits due to the crowding at the station?
  11. Random thought: Which line do you guys consider ugliest: Nassau, Fulton, or Concourse?
  12. I swear using the broken-half-the-time machines at LGA are so annoying... just make the Q70 free if we’re all going to the subway anyways...
  13. The M96 I could see getting SBS later. The M42 is so damn slow and has so much traffic I doubt SBS will make a difference (you also have the and being much faster in the center).
  14. I seriously doubt any conductor or T.O. will be happy being stuck on the any longer than they are now on the weekend given all the flagging and schedule padding...
  15. Maybe run both the local in Manhattan and then have the run Whitehall-Bay Ridge? (I would schedule lower Broadway and Broadway express work at this time and end Manhattan bridge G.Os).
  16. My bad-I looked back and saw I read the wrong schedule- I figured something was up and assumed it was a case of the MTA having missing trains (hence why I said “actually”).
  17. I seriously doubt that QBP can’t handle both the - the is scheduled to run 6 tph while the runs 10 tph. Assuming that the actually runs at 10 tph, you’ll have at most 16 tph to turn at QBP, which isn’t difficult to do (look at Crown Heights and 168th).
  18. Why not just have it run to Queensboro Plaza? (Or if you want to go crazy, have the run local in Manhattan for Broadway express work and have the terminate on the express tracks at 42nd).
