  1. Now that you mention it, that new area would probably be a second "Billionaires roll" with huge new residental towers built for the wall street crow that don't feel like moving to Suffolk or Nassau counties. On the plus side, it could make a subway to Staten Island somewhat more doable due to the decreased length between the two islands.
  2. Yeah, all roads seem to lead back to those dreaded cuts.
  3. I keep hearing about the so called "15 min city" but I don't know what that's even about? I was thinking that in some ways, that extension could prove beneficial to the MTA interms of adding extra capcity to the system (i.e. a new subway railyard and a new bus depot that could in theory split depolyment duties between Manhattan and Brookyln, assuming new bridges would also be built). I know if it actual does get extended, it would take 20-30 years before being complete.
  4. Is there any updates on the whole "New Manhatta" project that was proposed last year? I'm legit curious to see if they are going to go ahead with it.
  5. It could have worked in another world as the B26, B65, and B45 are all not that far away either. I did notice that the B25 had a rather large reduction in late night service in recent years. Also, didn't the B45 used to run 24 hours?
  6. They should have done this from the jump. Besides that, has their ever been a non-NJT influenced bus system in the state of New Jersey?
  7. WMATA and CTA both names their trains by number series (ie, #5000s or #7000s).
  8. In a way, Queens has been dominated by LFS's for sometime now except for southeastern queens which is still largely Orion 7. The Jamaica area is the last O7 stronghold having 7 depots in the area that use them (including NICE's Mitchel Field from time to time on the n4/n4X).
  9. And the Private lines GMC and TMC RTS's and LIbus's Orion Vs and Vs CNGs had small ass mirrors back in the day compared to thier NYCTA counterparts. Always wondered how B/Os could even see out of those things lol.
  10. Wouldn't that happen to include the B25 as most of that route east of Downtown Brooklyn parallels the A and C trains? Hell, the B26 too to a lesser extent just to the north of Fulton.
  11. That's because most people will take the train over the bus if it means getting to their homes faster. Things got real nutty the last few years when the Subway temporarily closed during the overnight during the pandemic.
  12. Right, hence the 1998 and 1999 Orion V CNGs being moved around all over the place in their final years (including to MTA Long Island bus even). The MCI D4500CLs however seemed to have been a strange exception as some moved over (for a time) to the SI division back in 2007-2008 due to an appearent shortage at the time. You'd think some of the BC Hybrids would have filled in when the Nova LFS Hybrids were OOS in Manhattan.
  13. Just my 2 cents, the website is dated.....as in it looks as though it's last update was in late 2001. I know this website created around summer 2004, a spiritual successor to an even earlier verison, but still. It needs a major overhall. Also, as other mentioned on here, it's pretty toxic.
  14. IIRC, the R38s were #3950-4149 weren't they? It's been almost 15 years since they last saw service.
  15. Dispite being over 15 years old, I'm surpised none of #3500-3783 ever transferred over to NYCTA like many of BC's Orion V CNGs did (and even MCI D4500CLs).
  16. It never shows any buses on there. Instead, the old "n20" sign would be displayed.
  17. Before the doomsday cuts from 2010, the MTA at one point was considering extenting the B71 bus from Cobble Hilll to Lower Manhattan, but it was rejected and the line has since been discontinued with little fanfare.
  18. Enjoy them while you can as the they are likely done after 1st quarter 2024. Anyway, anyone know why the n20G is not showing on Transsee? It's been like that for months now.
  19. Seems like NICE might be choosing the n16 line as the first route to see electric buses (according to another site). Someone claim to have see 2023 New Flyer XE40 Electric #2080 trailing on there (Not In Service).
  20. I read somewhere not too long ago that 24 new CNG buses are due for 2024. I guess th last option of BRT Plus is going to be split in 2.
