  1. Hi! According to the M.T.A. the B7 is not operating yet says the B7 is operating with delays and reroutes. Serious.

  2. Hi! As a NJT route, how is the #553 Bridgeton and does it pass through any scenic areas of Southern New Jersey?

    Thanks, 70(EE)

  3. Hi! Check out how cute these Nabisco cookie snap packages were (and the cookies were good, too): http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k130/hemi_392_dragster/snaps-702996.jpg

IIRC, the Nabisco Lemon Snaps box was similiar, except for a yellow area. These and the Nabisco Ginger Snaps had a string that you could carry the boxes. They went well with Chocolate or Strawberry Yoo Hoo. :)

  4. Hi! Cool find! (Mx) in brown and no (Mx) service overnight in Queens between Forest Hills and Middle Village!

  5. Hi! Cool video in the Random Thoughts thread! Would you happen to know where this rail line is? Looks like a causeway that has begue to erode into the sea.

  6. Hi! Daniel, I would suggest sending a P.M. to Hiro Nakamura at Strappies. He's our Coordinator. In your P.M. briefly state what you volunteered for at The Straphangers Campaign and you believe there was something mentioned about a promotion. Also let Mr. Nakamura know what you've done so far (if anything) and that you're interested in surveying riders about the new (Q) and (N).

About your "title" - these are fun honorary titles based on your post numbers. You're a "Tourist" from 0 to 49 posts. The complete list of fun honorary titles and their post number ranges can be found in the FAQ section at Rider Diaries. The next one to shoot for is "Straphanger" which you'll be from 50 to 299 posts. In addition to a Moderator, I'm currently also "Gene Russianoff". Hope this helps and best wishes.

  7. Hi! Do you think an S89-type route between Staten Island and Elizabeth or between Staten Island and Perth Amboy might work?

    Thanks,

  8. Hi! Greetings from The Grand Canyon State, my friend! arizona-flag-waving-smile-us-state-animated.gif

  9. Hi! Happy Birthday, BJC! Has your day been nice?

  10. Hi! Have you seen that the (F) is in two sections: 179th Street to Euclid Avenue and Church Avenue to Coney Island; there is no (F) or (G) between Jay Street-Borough Hall/Hoyt-Schmerhorn Streets and Church Avenue and the (C) is 168th Street-WTC this weekend? Also (5) trains are every 20.

  11. Hi! How are you? The other day at work, I received a $2 Canadian coin (a Toonie, I think they are called) in payment for an order. The customer thought it was a strange new American quarter. I collect Canadian coins, so I bought it for a quarter (so my drawer wouldn't come up short). First time I have seen this interesting Canadian coin. It has a copper color outer circle and a silver color inner circle with Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse and a bear on the reverse. It's the highest denomination Canadian coin I've ever found at work. I have a couple of $1 Loonies and a couple of the older $1 coins and one or two 50 cent coins (I understand they are as rare as our own half-dollar), but 25 cents had been the highest denomination coin I had found until this $2 coin. A very nice addition.

    Have a wonderful day,

  12. Hi! I think the logic behind that was the cost of producing the Single Ride MetroCards vs. their purchase. Plus I think the M.T.A. figures riders who purchase a regular PPR put at least $4.50 on it (two rides).

  13. Hi! I thought so myself. It turns out the Single Ride MetroCard (that flimsy paper-like MetroCard good for only one ride in either direction) went up to $2.50. Bus and subway fare stayed at $2.25.

  14. Hi! I want to say thank you - you take nice videos of New York's subway stations and subway cars. I also like your pic of classic I.R.T. redbird cars above.

    Have a wonderful day!

  15. Hi! I'm doing fine, thanks. Strappies seems to have gotten slow so I tend spend to more time here.

You Know. Every place and every one has their good and bad and transit forums are no exception.

Keep up the good work and keep smiling. By the by, I like the way you list your location.

  16. Hi! lol No, if you purchase a regular PPR MetroCard and only put $2.25 on it you're good for one ride. You just have to refill it to get home or take more rides.

  17. Hi! Look how cute these cookie packages were: http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k130/hemi_392_dragster/snaps-702996.jpg . IIRC, the Nabisco Lemon Snaps package was the same, only a yellow area. I miss these!

And here is one of Nabisco Vanilla Snaps: http://www.theimaginaryworld.com/milkoo63.jpg

  18. Hi! May I ask why you're upset with Jabroni? Who is this new member?

  19. Hi! NX Express, Do you have any favorite locomotives like E-5, F-9, GP-35, SD-40, Hudson Steam Locomotive, Pacific Steam Locomotive and do you have a favorite freight/passenger railroad?

    Thanks,

    70(EE)

  20. Hi! NX Express, I promise it wasn't deliberate! Just many photos I didn't see and some new members. Some of Yuki's photo threads are epic in the amount of photos and videos he fits in. I swear some of threads must contain at least twenty five photos/videos each.

Then with all the snow the northeast has been getting, it's made for some beautiful photos. 70(EE)

  21. Hi! Soitenly! The (M) in its' familiar Centre Street color. :) Cool catch!

  22. Hi! Somehow you've seemed familiar. Dark Quivet rings the bell. I'm glad you're here at NYC Transit Forums, RTS CNG Command.

  23. Hi! The end, I think, is nearing for Rider Diaries at Straphangers.org. Only two (2) posts since October 31st at 3:53pm. Both essentially meaningless and spam. Nothing left to moderate. Looks like it's NYC Transit Forums, Subchat, and maybe Manhattan Express Forums.
