R32 3838 Posted January 4, 2010 Author Share #3 Posted January 4, 2010 Those 4 TMCs never retired. They've been in service for a while. 8218, 8306 I see every night on Parsons blvd for the last few months. They were OOS after christmas, I was on 8195 that bus hasn't moved since the 22nd, and they were all in the back where the museum bus is at and they had all red sheets that indicates that the Bus is OOS. The Real Posted January 5, 2010 Share #7 Posted January 5, 2010 I don't know why people keep saying that bus was retired. It, along with 4 others were placed into Hot Storage, which means they could be brought back at anytime. Retired, is when they go to Eastchester, THAT'S when you say the bus is Down for the Count. ...And thats only if its in the yard at Eastchester close to the highway or back behind the maintenance building near the river, because the yard in the middle is considered to be more storage. jimbob60 Posted January 5, 2010 Share #8 Posted January 5, 2010 8195 looks to be on its last legs although I guess looks can be deceiving. It's what is under the hood that counts. Good to see some buses running close to 20 years.

aemoreira81 Posted January 6, 2010 Share #11 Posted January 6, 2010 Those 4 TMCs never retired. They've been in service for a while. 8218, 8306 I see every night on Parsons blvd for the last few months. There are only 15 buses from that batch left (12 at Baisley Park, 2 at Far Rockaway, and 1 at Queens Village).

aemoreira81 Posted January 7, 2010 Share #13 Posted January 7, 2010 I see you got one of the last six of the 1990 TMCs in service; those, like the former PBL RTS buses, should be finished any day now.
