OH yea theyve changed since 1999 , ulmer pk had buses that were so damn old i didnt even know they had , i wasnt really into buses alot lol but woahhh thattsss reallly old & gun hill had 5075-5124? i didnt know this

Yup , and i just skimmed through this to get to ulmer park and i looked back at flatbush and they had the b6 i never knew that , things have really changed alot since 1999 im suprised , i would of known this if i was into buses back then but i wasnt

There was a 999. I remember, because they started with the test buses there, and then went backwards. (998...and then to 995). I remember the LFS at ENY, and if that was 995, then 999 was something else. Perhaps the all-electric rumored to be locked ways somewhere in the back of the depot, and they had huilt a room around it?

 

I'm not sure I remember the LFS being called an "RTS Low Foor", though that was loosely what it represented back then. IIRC, there may have been an earlier demo of it that I never saw, that was sent back, and then the one I saw there came out. If the one I saw was 995, than the earlier one was likely 999. But I do remember them starting with that number and working backward for test buses.

 

This, BTW, is the UTCNY roster, which was printed and handed out before it was put online. The online version they simply stopped updating, so now we use the TTMG roster. What I liked about the UTC roster was that it had all of the retired and out of service (fire damage, accidents, etc) buses at the depots and storage lots, and also chronicled what was retired at the scrap lots even. So you always knew where every single bus was.

(Like I didn't even know 9999 was renumbered).

Mother Clara Hale was/is apart of the Bronx Division. I'm not sure when Amsterdam became apart of the Bronx Division.

Yeah. It was most likely the LFS, but the number was 995, as you just stated. I don't recall a 999. There was also an RTS hybrid demo around the same time numbered 9900.

 

I'm guessing it was an error because at the time people were more used to associating the RTS with NovaBus. Since the LFS was new at the time for NYC, it was probably an easy mistake.

Yes those 2 depots were bronx division and part manhattan because the bronx is apart of manhattan too . but they should of put clara hale where quill is at and put amsterdam somewhere elese .

No, MJQ was West Side Depot. They renamed it years ago.

Simple reason:

Amsterdam was reopen when MCH closed, Majority of MCH operations were transfer over to Amsterdam and become Bronx Division. Thus with the new depot logo with Orion VII bus instead of RTS and Bronx Division instead of Manhattan Division.
