Thats a really good depiction of Mexico..

So..

Screw em... Their govt is a joke. Everything down there involves a bribe. Went down there with a friend of mine who is Mexican and we took a wrong turn driving.. The cops acted like we were doing somethign illegal.. Had to payem off to let us go cause they threatened to keep us in jail for the weekend for driving down the wrong street....You have to pay someone off all the time. This is why the drug gangs rule that country not the govt...

Maybe when they can keep their own people safe, eliminate most of the corruption and restore order they will have a right to compain about the cartoon but as of right now.. They need to shut up about it.

I wonder what our reaction would be if someone from another country drew the American flag with a fat guy chowing down on a hamburger with a dunce cap on.

I would laugh and share the humor with everyone else.

We're probably not offended because there's too much diversity making it hard to relate to one another. Within many of us there is a sense of "dual citizenship;" we're Americans, but we're also something else. When someone says something offensive about Americans, these people will default to their non-American identity and not even feel offended. Some of us don't even feel a sense of belonging to this country and will happily talk trash about Americans themselves.

The same thing applies to this country's government. Except here it's just called lobbying...

Yeah but you cant bribe cops here like you can over there. Thats where most of the lawlesness comes from.. Thats why two of Mexicos biggest drug kingpins were able to just stroll out of a Mexican prision not to bee seen.

f**k'em if they can't take a joke and f**k'em twice if they can.

If it was someone in the US he'd probably be charged with Treason...

Open up any news paper and you'll see that people have depicted much worse and none of them were ever tried for anything. It's all protected under the 1st Amendment.

And that's sickening. People should be proud to be American.

Jokes are fine, but you have to be an insider to make a joke IMO. Some foreign country makes a joke about America you stand up for America. An American makes a joke about America, you laugh and pass the beer and the cheese fries.
