EE Broadway Local Posted January 6, 2011 Share #1 Posted January 6, 2011  Is this a new way to change directions without crossing the tracks and third rail? This kid does this at an elevated station, my God! Subway Platform Jump: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CsSx1UwwJSU&feature=related
Fresh Pond Posted January 6, 2011 Share #2 Posted January 6, 2011 Ok I'm not gonna lie, I wanted to always do that to see if it was possible but I always had this little fear of the 3rd rail...and the train lol In all seriousness, that was a careless move. He coulve hit the 3rd rail and got BBQ'ed or (since he was at a elevated station), fall between the track ties and fall to his death

TheArr Posted January 7, 2011 Share #8 Posted January 7, 2011 While I've always wanted to do that, I think it's too reckless a move to try at a subway station.
rr4567 Posted January 7, 2011 Share #9 Posted January 7, 2011 While I've always wanted to do that, I think it's too reckless a move to try at a subway station. Especially when there's the risk of plummeting 6 feet to the tracks and touching the third rail. It's not safe to do at any active rail station. LRG Posted January 7, 2011 Share #10 Posted January 7, 2011 I'm not gonna lie, I always wanted to do that, but I don't wanna become hamburger meant by a train or third rail french fries.
rr4567 Posted January 7, 2011 Share #11 Posted January 7, 2011 hamburger meant by a train And don't forget being eaten by rats or third rail french fries. Those are some burnt-ass fries
Roadcruiser1 Posted January 7, 2011 Share #12 Posted January 7, 2011 Cool! I would love to do this. With the third rail turned off With no incoming passenger, or working trains. Though there is nothing I can do with the incoming tsunami of rats.
CenSin Posted January 7, 2011 Share #13 Posted January 7, 2011 Especially when there's the risk of plummeting 6 feet to the tracks and touching the third rail. It's not safe to do at any active rail station. The fact that it's not safe makes it even more tempting to do so for them. It's not exactly smart, but the thrill and admiration earned makes it worth the risk in their minds.
Luis1985 Posted January 7, 2011 Share #14 Posted January 7, 2011 man if there was a train pulling into the station on the express tracks, he would've been done.
SevenEleven Posted January 7, 2011 Share #15 Posted January 7, 2011 *sigh* Stay above the influence kids.. Staying in school doesn't work anymore. EDIT: I never seen a railcar in a hospital bed... Just thought you should know.
