FamousNYLover Posted January 16, 2011 Share #2 Posted January 16, 2011 Only thing I don't understand is why Bus Company is only bus that runs on reduced weekday schedule?

checkmatechamp13 Posted January 16, 2011 Share #5 Posted January 16, 2011 One question about Limited service: The buses that normally run as limited-stop buses don't run at all, correct (they aren't converted to local buses)? Also, if a limited-stop bus runs the full route and the local makes short-turns, the local is simply extended, correct?
Via Garibaldi 8 Posted January 17, 2011 Share #6 Posted January 17, 2011 They claim they're running normal weekday service on express buses, but it's really a modified weekday schedule. I don't have a problem with that, but just say that so that people can plan accordingly. I was waiting for an X1 this morning and three were supposed to have shown up during the time we waited. The bus was almost SRO too infact... I just hope they don't cut any of the last runs because I plan on getting the last X30 home tonight... Via Garibaldi 8 Posted January 17, 2011 Share #7 Posted January 17, 2011 One question about Limited service: The buses that normally run as limited-stop buses don't run at all, correct (they aren't converted to local buses)? Also, if a limited-stop bus runs the full route and the local makes short-turns, the local is simply extended, correct? It's been a while since I've taken the S98, but if I recall correctly they may just convert some of those to S48s. My feeling is that even though they don't run the limiteds they run some sort of modified schedule to prevent the wait from being too long since some people do actually work today... Nova RTS 9147 Posted January 17, 2011 Share #8 Posted January 17, 2011 On a holiday schedule, is CityTicket available for LIRR?
Joel Up Front Posted January 17, 2011 Share #9 Posted January 17, 2011 I don't think LIB operators are any happy about not catching any sort of breaks today. I think last year they did.
EE Broadway Local Posted January 17, 2011 Author Share #10 Posted January 17, 2011 I think City Ticket is good only for Saturday and Sunday only. On a holiday schedule, is CityTicket available for LIRR?
