TheSubwayStation Posted May 30, 2012 Share #892 Posted May 30, 2012 Just out of curiosity why is everyone suspending the ? Well, the is often considered a supplementary route because you can just run the local to replace it. Thus, the is often the first route to be suspended when track capacity is an issue (e.g. reroutes that require sharing tracks w/ another line, or temporary terminals that can't handle many trains as the usual ones).

CDTA Posted May 31, 2012 Share #899 Posted May 31, 2012 The express track has a switch just south of Utica. The express could use this one, while the local switches to the express after Utica, goes onto the track, switches to Downtown Express, then switches to the local before the express switches back to the downtown track.
