Gorgor Posted May 28, 2012 Share #851 Posted May 28, 2012 Here's an idea: Due to FASTRACK, no trains on the brighton line between Prospect Park and DeKalb Av. The and bypass tracks at DeKalb are available, just not the Brighton tracks. I think I'll be able to do this without extending the to who knows where in Brooklyn. Let's see... runs via the the from DeKalb to 36th Street, then via the to Coney Island runs between Prospect Park and Coney Island via Local - No service to/from Manhattan and Queens

Assuming that only the Manhattan bound track is affected (if both tracks are unusable, the result is the same): No trains south of the World Trade Center. If necessary, some trains relay via the middle track north of Chambers St. Trains run in two sections: .........207 St to Jay St track. I think that one track can handle more than 30tph... after all, if something happens on 7th Avenue the have no real problems going down Lex in the morning rush and I'm sure that's well over 30tph. Anyways... to 2nd Avenue. If my numbers are correct on the tph chart I made, that's 32tph which can be handled with minimal delays. If anything, just reduce train service or run them with the little delays. ---- NEXT Grand Street station is closed and trains cannot pass through.
