mark1447 Posted January 2, 2012 Share #2 Posted January 2, 2012 Great work! Are they preserving that Long Island Bus name on the building? Same for the bus depot names?
Queens Surface Posted January 2, 2012 Author Share #3 Posted January 2, 2012 Great work! Are they preserving that Long Island Bus name on the building? Same for the bus depot names? Thanks, but the Long Island Bus on the building is going to be taken down in due time as for depot names...might just stay the same not 100% on that however. Orion VII 4 Life Posted January 2, 2012 Share #4 Posted January 2, 2012 Anyone else notice that 1608 still has a MTA ad on the back?
Burrstone Posted January 2, 2012 Share #5 Posted January 2, 2012 Great work! Are they preserving that Long Island Bus name on the building? Same for the bus depot names? The MTA took down the logo thur or fri, now the Veolia Symbol popped up where the logo was. I was wondering if they just put up the Veolia logo until they got other signage there, but I'm sure that took some planning. It's not like they had a huge sign like that laying around to just slap up there.

User Posted January 3, 2012 Share #8 Posted January 3, 2012 Nice photos! Did you take some of those in Mitchel Field? How'd you get in? Anyone else notice that 1608 still has a MTA ad on the back? That's not the only bus with it left on. I saw 1800s and 1700s with the ads on in Great Neck. Some still have it, the forgot to take them off. They'll probably be replaced though with real ads. Queens Surface Posted January 3, 2012 Author Share #12 Posted January 3, 2012 Anyone else notice that 1608 still has a MTA ad on the back? Most likely when the ad contract ends it will be changed with other ads. 1808 is back? It's at MF but the status is unknown about if it will be repaired compared to 1804 which got scrapped.
