trainfan22 2,196 Posted June 25, 2008 Share #1 Posted June 25, 2008 I did not take the stamford pics today. I took them a while ago well anyways i took the bus from fordam in the bronx to stamford CT. It was an LONG ride it took an hour and a half just to get there. I took the train back which was much quicker. And guess what metro north has railfan windows!!!!!! I rode on an M2 at the RFW from stamford to GCT it was fun. But the alerter was broke and everytime the train would go to certain speed the broken alerter would slow the train down. Btw i took bee line's 61 bus to port chester and transfer to CT transit's 11 bus which was a fun but long ride. Now to the riverdale story i took the train to the BX7 bus to 254th st(Because i didn't feel like paying the metro north fare). To get to the train station i had to walk though this seagate like commuty which fancy houses and trees. And it had some MEAN ASS HILLS! Those hills where so deep that if you tried to walk down fast you would fall on your face. Then when i coming back i had to walk up that hill and my whole body was hurting esp my back. Well enough of me yapping here are the pics i will start with the NH line...... Now the hudson line/riversdale ones..... And heres a few vids.... And one bonus pic.... That is all comments are welcome enjoy!!
Pablo M 201 35 Posted June 25, 2008 Share #2 Posted June 25, 2008 Nice photos man! And yes, the RFW view ride on the New Haven Line is nice on those M2/4s. I wish M1s and M3s ran more on the Hudson line though with the scenic route.

PATCOman 196 Posted June 26, 2008 Share #12 Posted June 26, 2008 Great pics! I was checking out Street View images of West 254 Street, and you are right, that hill is really steep. It almost like many hills in Pittsburgh. In fact, West 254 Street looks more suburban.
