Here's my try at this:

(N) trains terminate at 34th Street and operate in two sections:

34th Street to Coney Island, Queensboro Plaza to Astoria

(Q) trains terminate at 34th.

(R) trains run between 71 Av and 57th Street

(W) runs between 34th and Bay Ridge to provide (R) service in Brooklyn.

(7) trains run local in both directions.

The trains on layup at 57th can be used for service on the (N).

Another way can also have the (M) rerouted to Bay Ridge with no service to Bay Parkway.

You can't run (D) to Essex St. because you can't have 75-footers running on the Jamaica Line. Also, there is a layup you can do south of Canal St. but that would take forever.

(B) southbound trains termianted at W4 Street

(D) from manhattan operates local via (F) to Coney Island

(N) southbound trains terminate at 57th Street

(Q) southbound service suspended in Manhattan

(Q) south shuttle service between Prospect Park and Coney Island

(N) south shuttle service between Pacific St and Coney Island

(R) southbound shuttle service between 36th street and 95th street

(R) in manhattan terminates at Canal and Whitehall sts alternating with (W)

(M) no south brooklyn service

That one can work. Mine would be:

(:D suspended

(B) shuttle runs from Bedford Park-Euclid Avenue via the switch to (A), (C), and (E) line south of West 4th St. making the (:D run local everywhere

(D) runs on the (F) to Coney Island then go back on the West End northbound

(Z) suspended

(J) service limited

(M) terminates at Broad St.

(R) terminates at Lawerence St.

Northbound (Q) runs to 21 St- and then relays and runs to Coney Island via (F) line

(N) terminates at Whitehall St.

(W) Suspended

That will be the best service alert ever except the FBI part. Means that someone got killed there.

Most of them are correct, however... (F) service stays normal

Suspend (B), (Q) runs on North side of M Bridge then via (B) line to 145th Street.

What will replace lost (B) service in Upper Manhattan?

For yours

Send (B)(D) via Broadway Express to 57th Street

Select (F) runs express

Ok....I never did this b4 so I'll give this a try:

(D) trains can run via Culver Line up to West 4th Street, then resume express service from West 4th Street

(:P train can run via Broadway Express Line up to 57th Street-7th Avenue.....selected (D) can replace the (:D to Bedford Park Blvd

Or some (:) trains can run via Culver Express Line to Smith-9th Street, when going to Jay Street-Borough Hall cross over onto the (A)/© lines to via 8th Avenue Express Line to 59th Street-Columbus Circle then cross over onto the local tracks

Good try.. how about this?

Blockage: 12/9

Location: Bedford Avenue (L), Canarsie bound track

Expected Duration: 3 Hrs

Run the (L) evry 20 minutes. Canarsie-bound trains crosses over to West-bound tracks after 14 St- runs carefully with Manhattan-bound waiting east of Bedford Ave.

Make Shuttle buses run b/w Bedford Avenue and Mrytle-Wyckoff Avenues or Brooklyn bound (L)'s run b/w 1st Avenue and 8th Avenue-14th Street!

Interesting, however there may be a shortage of buses at the depot. The GOs were organised so the depots expected a certain number of buses needed to shuttle the riders. But this is sudden... so what I will do is:

-Have ALL trains bypass 3rd Avenue

-Switch eastbound trains on the westbound track just before 3rd Avenue

-Trains will switch back onto eastbound track after Bedford Avenue

-Have select trains from Canarsie terminate at Myrtle Avenue

What would YOU do in this situation? This really happened before.

Mechanical problems Manhattan-bound Bway Manhattan Bridge AND Manhattan-bound City Hall.

MTA's fix-

(Q) to 57 St. (F)

(N) to 145 St. (A)(:)(C)(D)

(R) runs on (V) in Manhattan
