ttcsubwayfan Posted November 24, 2013 Share #1 Posted November 24, 2013 Here are some photos I took on Friday & Saturday. On Friday, I went to Sarnia, ON, which is the last location in Canada who's transit agency still runs the Orion I bus. They also have 30 foot "baby" Orion Vs, so that's neat too. They were showing off their new buses and streetcars as well, take a look. bobtehpanda Posted November 29, 2013 Share #10 Posted November 29, 2013 I would assume TTC01 is no longer in revenue service, correct?
ttcsubwayfan Posted November 29, 2013 Author Share #11 Posted November 29, 2013 Good pics, but them Novas look weird without the rear window. o_O I actually prefer them this way. Probably because this is the first time one of my nearby agencies has purchased Novas. I would assume TTC01 is no longer in revenue service, correct? It never was. It was converted by an outside company from a Prevost LeMirage XL-45 built in 1998, and purchased by the TTC in 2005, to replace the original command bus, a '75 MCI MC-8, which suffered a structural failure. A neat piece in the fleet, to be sure.

CDTA Posted December 4, 2013 Share #14 Posted December 4, 2013 No, they are the last in Canada. 4-5 are left. So they're hard to find?
ttcsubwayfan Posted December 4, 2013 Author Share #15 Posted December 4, 2013 So they're hard to find? Incredibly so, yes. They are operated in only one city and sometimes they don't go out at all... that was a risk I took when I went there and was lucky to find even one, never mind 2.
