B35 via Church Posted December 28, 2013 Share #4 Posted December 28, 2013 I had went out to Philly on x-mas eve.... did the 319 > 551 > 409 combo again..... Had wanted to take the 317 instead of the 409, but I had no idea at the time when the 317 left, and I knew the Trenton bound 409s leaves philly on every odd hour (approx. 3pm, 5pm, 7pm, etc.).... Well that, and I really aint wanna wait at the greyhound terminal for too long (like the last time I was out there; waited for the 316).... Anyway, I came out the burger king, ran to the nearest NJT stop, and got lucky as hell that the bus waiting at the stop was a 409 Trenton (because w/ the MCI's as you know, there's no route # showing in the rear)..... Most the ride (409) I couldn't see much of anything, since it was dark out... NEC actually didn't suck this time (trains were relatively empty; most ppl. in the car I was in (at least), got on at Metropark believe it or not..... With your pics here, you went earlier on in the day I see..... One of these days, I wanna do a fantrip consisting of a bunch of SEPTA routes.... Not too fond of Greyhound or Amtrak though to get to Philly early enough though.... #7542 on the 551 huh... I had 7545 on the 409 & #8036 on the 551..... Don't remember what street it was on in Philly, but I saw about 4 or 5 buses all on layover - 1 b/o got back on the bus w/ McDonald's bag in hand.. I aint mad at him though.... lol.... I thought about mickey D's too, but I remembered there was a BK out there, and went there instead (b/c I was not going back to NYC w/o having ate anything, and there aint shit around TTC as far as fast food goes - well, that I know of anyway)..... +1 on all the media you decided to share.... I know several routes you can try norristown line to 90 to 96 Doylestown line to fern rock for 28 to 14 then 14 to MFL to 60 for broad st line then thorndale to paoli for 204(if you can) then back. If you got balls try your luck with the 92 to KOP for 124/125 to CC then bolt or megabus outta there. If you want to try and BOSS SEPTA I DARE YOU to try the 90 series without missing a connection!!! I do Philly and NJT I attempted it on a SUNDAY yeah not a good idea at least the 600 was timed with the Trenton line.
