Bracamonte Posted June 14, 2015 Share #1 Posted June 14, 2015 I found this video on youtube about this guy riding on a New York Bus Service Fishbowl in 1998. This video shows a whole variety of buses running in Manhattan during that time, including GMC RTS's, other Fishbowls, and MCI Classics. Of course, this was before the MCI D4500's arrived, they wouldn't hit the streets until the following year. It amazing how there used to be a whole variety of buses in the streets of Manhattan during that time. Now, its mostly dominated by D4500's, Hybrids, and RTS's. The TransitMan Posted June 14, 2015 Share #2 Posted June 14, 2015 I've seen this video before. What I find interesting is that NovaBus RTS-06 #9514 (to me...I thought) was an Hudson Depot original. Apparently, it looks like that bus MIGHT have started at Kingsbridge.
Thekilomoney11 Posted June 16, 2015 Share #3 Posted June 16, 2015 I'm surprised that the rts Bx36 didn't continue down White plains road to soundview. And love that Westinghouse R-29 on the line
MysteriousBtrain Posted June 16, 2015 Share #4 Posted June 16, 2015 I'm surprised that the rts Bx36 didn't continue down White plains road to soundview. And love that Westinghouse R-29 on the lineI'm guessing at this time the Bx36 still had select trips go to Brush and Bruckner Blvd. Oh a world that was dominated by RTS..... Future ENY OP Posted June 16, 2015 Share #6 Posted June 16, 2015 Very good vintage video. The good ole days when rear wraps dominated Manhattanville buses, the 91xx buses started coming in, 34xx, 35xx, 47xx and 48xx buses were making their way out for retirement and 9514 working in the bronx. Harry Posted June 16, 2015 Share #7 Posted June 16, 2015 I used to work right around the corner from where that video started next to the toy center from '94-'99. I remember seeing all them buses. Nice video. Good memories.
