I am one of the top scorers from this exam and was wondering how to track the list to see how far away I am.

First of all, welcome to the site!

Second, according to the Civil Service List Certification page of the NYC Open Data website, as of this typing, no one from this list has been called. Once they do, you should be able to see it on the page. For now, you can type "Track Worker" into the search box on the top right hand side of the screen, followed by pressing "enter" on your keyboard. Once they start calling people from this list, you can also type in the exam number as "08600" instead of "Track Worker."

And, according to the recording on Ms. Rivera's answering machine, in which you can obtain the phone number here, the folks at 180 Livingston Street will not be there until March 30th, 2020. However, I have a "gut" feeling that, despite the circumstances, this will get extended until who knows when.

Stay safe and healthy everyone!!

who considered top scorers in this exam?  85 and up 90 and up 95- up,  I know 70 is the pass mark and i also  realize thousands of people also took this #8600 exam .So my question what score is within the range for one to almost certain to get a call to come in?

I would say anyone with a list number of about 1000 or below. You can also view those top scorers on the chiefleaders website. I would say anyone having a 106% through a 91% have a fairly well chance, if, things tend to repeat themselves. Anyone with these percentages will just have to play the waiting game.

Will this list be extended the pandemic has shut down the process and not a person off this list has been called

To tell you the truth, I'm wondering the same thing myself, not only for this particular examination, but also for Bus Operator (TA) Exam #9604. That list was published in late November of 2019 and nobody has been called off of that list either.

Only time will tell my friend, only time will tell.

In the meantime, stay safe and healthy!!

Anyone have any thoughts on how long until the list begins to move or is it on hold indefinitely for the remainder of year?. Hope everyone is safe.

Hopefully sooner or later, 180 is scheduled to re-open by phase 2.  RTO is in dire need of bodies right now, MoW I'm not too sure. I'm currently a Bus Operator and staying in my position until I get called for Track then I'm jumping ship. Hopefully we start to see the ball rolling around Julyish for us.

Although I like your post, as per the attached picture, I thought there was a "hiring freeze" in effect? Any updates?

They're not going to have much of a choice when retirements skyrocket and you need crews. Right now from what I heard T/O's are in dire need, not too sure about C/R's. They can't even hire new B/O's unless they have license because permits won't be obtainable till phase 3. All I know is that 180 is set to open when we hit phase 2, after that they should be hiring slowly for service delivery positions.

Hey new to the forum im listed in the 200s for the track worker position any ideas how long that would take to be called?

First of all, welcome to the Forums! Glad to have you on-board!!

Second, with the current pandemic that is going on, all I'm going to say is "take an educated guess and go with it." Personally, my educated guess is that this list will not be moving for a while, however that's my educated guess. However, instead of waiting around for an e-mail message or for something in the mail, I would encourage you to check out this website. All you have to do is type in "Track Worker" in the search box on the top right hand side of the screen. As soon as the agency requests a list of names from the Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS), you should see that webpage updated within a few business days.

Third, if you haven't done so already, can you please familiarize yourself with the guidelines of the website? This includes "bumping topics." Therefore, please do not do this on a regular basis. As you can tell by looking at the other employment threads/topics, if no one has posted anything within the last couple of weeks, months and/or years, then you know there has been very little to no movement for that particular civil service list and/or title.

Again, welcome to the Forums!!

Been on the forums for a little while I’m currently a track worker got hired in 17 any questions I’ll be glad to answer

I have a few if you questions if you don't mind:

1.  When there wasn't a pandemic, how much work was available? Overtime?

2. Do you stay on jobs from beginning to end or are you reporting to a different site daily?

3. Which task you find more enjoyable as opposed to task you hate?

Thanks for feedback

so durning the pandemic they tried to limit work with inspections because it was skeleton crew many people was out sick but with tgc and other emergency work that to be done it was a lot of ot so before and during it’s been ot

it all depends on what you are working weather it’s Maintenance days or night , or capital days or night, capital tend to report to different locations daily and stay out for bit but Maintenance can be the same way depending if your a specialist

I find every task enjoyable because I am a worker only task I dislike I would say is flagging but it saves lives so I take it serious everyone do
