I finally made it back to NYC after 3 years and there is a hiring freeze at the moment 😫😫 too bad i wasn't ready in March when i first got emailed to come in.... Oh well. The wait will be worth it! Can't wait! @AprilCakes How is everything going so far?? 😊

Typographical correction

@+Young+, how can someone file a grievance after being determined “Not Qualified by Transit.” this is what I received today which I find unfair and completely false especially after I was told by many reps I was starting this July class.

It didn’t say why. It literally says…. it was noted that you were found Not Qualified by Transit.

I haven’t even done the canvass appointment. Literally waiting for a date.

HR. I haven’t even done a canvass appointment. I went once and they told me to come back when my ticket was dismissed and I literally got it dismissed within the same month and requested a new date. This was in March.

First of all, this is not the first time that the folks on the 5th Floor of 180 Livingston Street have lied. The folks at "Employment Operations" lied to me the last time I was there. Even with the medical diagnosis that the MAC (Medical Assessment Center) diagnosed me with in 2014, I haven't seen the specialist for this "medical diagnosis" in years.

Hello, I had my pre-employment application put on medical hold back in March. I did all the requirements I needed, I called back and they told me they were done hiring. I tried to ask when they would hire again and was told Late July or August, was looking for anyone else that can confirm this.

 

also since this is a NYCT exam would we be able to start on Staten Island? I tried to do some research and couldn’t see which depots had TA. And also I assume TA is different from MTA Bus Company.

Hello all,   My father is a dispatcher on Staten Island… answer question yes there is a freeze… on July 17 class was

NOT TA class. So they maybe start hiring again in August Iam waiting on this list also. I did everything but go to Livingston street in person…ai spoke with DCAS… my name is certified.  So now. I wait and pray

Awesome thanks for the heads up. It’s almost impossible getting in contact with DCAS I’ll continue calling and send another email. Thank you.

Just got a email to restore my name again to DCAS. But if you have already done that…. They are hiring  because of all vacancies…. This is good news everyone check mail

They are hiring for the Fall. That's what the Email said. Meaning probably not till Early September

There are a few training buses out of Grand Avenue but I believe that class is headed to MTA Bus. We just got a class in for line training.

I got a email from MTA to restored 

My name for the fall I sent them all the information they needed and they sent me confirmation that my name was restored for exam 9618 and I guess now I have to wait for the interview date

Have you tried calling (212) 669 1357 at 9:00 or 9:05 AM? If so, ask for the List, Management and Audit unit - they should be able to help you.

Also, note that they are only open Monday to Friday with the exception of major holidays, such as Labor Day, Thanksgiving, etc.

@+Young+ Yes, I was able to get in contact with someone from the DCAS office. As you mentioned early morning when the office opens is ideally the best time.
