Good luck to all of those that were at Zerega today! Please do not forget to keep us updated! (And yes, I do check the various Employment Topics as an anonymous guest more often than logging in, respectively.)

I was told on Thursday that there is a hiring freeze again...

So if this is the case, then, according to the first page of this PDF document, why did the agency administer five [5] Civil Service Examinations for this title within a six-month period, when our Commercial Learners Permits (CLPs) are good for one [1] calendar year, before we have to take the examinations over again at the Department of Motor Vehicles?

Interesting...

Oh ok I see wat you saying

Yea i even read/seen something on the news about Bus Operators. That MTA planned on having pre pandemic level Bus Operators hired by end of Summer. So that could explain the hiring freeze and why the exams were also canceled for now. It's just a waiting... we go back to living our daily lives till that fateful "final processing" email hits our inbox lol till then keep your license in good standing. I've already had a stupid fender bender accident that apparently is my fault according to my and his insurance smdh. My first at fault accident since i started driving in 2007. I was pissed!

(212) 669 1357. Select option "2," enter your nine digit Social Security Number and follow the prompts.

If you need to speak to someone, I would strongly recommend to call this number at either 9:00 or 9:05 AM, press "0" and ask for the List, Management and Audit unit. If you try calling after this time, you might be on hold for an hour or two waiting to speak to someone, depending on how "lucky" you are.

Good luck!!

Thanks. I actually just called and surprisingly got to speak to someone in less than 10 minutes. I was told that they are still pulling from test 9618 and hasn't hired anyone from 2611 yet.

Anyone hear about hiring again in November?    I heard from reliable sources ..Next class in November 20th….

You may be right. The Lady i just spoke to today said that they're gonna start calling again starting n3xt week and that St Jean is out on leave for the time being. So I'm pretty sure someone else will be temporary taking over calling us...

They do pre-employment drug (urine) testing on a Sunday? Interesting...
