There are 26 trainsets on the ( for AM rush service, 11 come out of Concourse Yard in the morning and 15 out of CI Yard. During middays, 14 trainsets are used while 11 trainsets sit at Concourse Yard and 1 sits at CI Yard. For PM rush, 8 trainsets are put-ins from Concourse Yard, adding up to a total of 22 trainsets in PM rush. 3 trainsets sit at Concourse Yard and 1 remains at CI Yard. When ( service ends, 11 trainsets are at Concourse Yard again and 15 at CI Yard for their overnight sleep/maintenance. When I want to RFW the Concourse Line, what do you think is better: in AM rush: stand at Bedford Pk Blvd and wait for a Slant Concourse Yard put-in, or wait at 145th St and wait for a Slant coming from CI Yard? There are no official plans to send them to Jamaica Yard. They will be undergoing retirement soon, after all R38 are reefed. The Mods (R40M) and well as the Pitkin/207 R42s are going to placed at Jamaica Yard to displace the R32 which are going back to Pitkin/207.
