  1. All loans for the day. Tuskegee borrows buses from all over every day. Same with Hale borrowing buses from The Bronx as of late.
  2. Question for Queens users here, was there really demand to have the Q44 go to Fordham on the Queens side? I can see why riders in The Bronx would be happy to have a faster alternative to Fordham compared to the Bx9, but was there demand for Queens riders to have a one-seat ride to Fordham? That Q50 is a double-edged sword. I'm happy to see it gain 24/7 service (it keeps the changes made in the Bronx redesign last year), though at the cost of seeing the route crawl when covering the old Q48 routing to LGA.
  3. Both 4204 and 4626 are back at Baisley. They were at JFK on loan for the day yesterday.
  4. As a person who doesn't live in Queens, there are some things that caught my eye. These are my opinions as an outsider: For the Q7, I wonder if there is demand for bus service on Rockaway Blvd west of Woodhaven. Seeing the Q112 replace it in Brooklyn will be interesting to see. I wonder if having the Q8 end at the New Lots station was necessary. Thank the lord the Q10/64 fusion was axed. The Q11/21 fusion I'm a-okay with. The Q26 given and significant expansion is interesting, though I wonder if the route would be efficient that way. I like the Q27 being taken off Holly Ave. I never quite understood why it had that routing on that narrow street to begin with. I think students of QCC benefit from the Q30 becoming a limited route to that school, though I'm not sure there is great demand for it to be that way. It's funny seeing the little turn at Queens Plaza be removed from the westbound Q32 routing. It's also weird to see the eastbound stop at 34th St be removed. I would of cut the 32nd St stop instead. It's funny to see the undo what they did 10 years ago with sending the Q33 back to the airport. Was there demand for local service to the airport from residents there? I like the Q37 being sent to the airport so that Q10 local buses would stick to Lefferts full-time. I'm fine with the Q44 being kept at the Zoo instead of extending it to Fordham Plaza, though I do get why people liked the proposed alternative to using the Bx9 from West Farms. I'm sure the 3 Union Turnpike variants (plus the Q75) would confuse the hell out of riders over there during the first few months. Well, riders in The Bronx finally got the route to LGA they always seemed to want (though obviously not in the way many wanted it to be). I kind of dig the streamlining of the Q66. I don't know how I feel about the proposed inter-borough routes (B53 and Q68), though those are being held off until the Brooklyn re-design is implemented. I have the same concern about the re-designed B57, with service in Red Hook being axed in favor of service north of Maspeth. Same with the B62 serving 21st Street in Queens. I'm not surprised by the overall reduction of service on express routes. I'm pretty sure the would of preferred to get away with making all express routes in Queens rush-hours only. I do wonder why they decided to add a stop at 1st Ave-34th St for the express routes that go to the Financial District (QM7, QM8, QM11, QM25, & the new QM65). Again, these are just my opinions and observations from a PDF proposal. I'm pretty sure regular Queens riders would have stronger opinions than I do here.
  5. 4204 must be there on loan. JFK has been borrowing buses from Baisley as of late.
  6. I've seen drivers pick up passengers a few minutes early so they have time to collect tickets or see those bought with the mobile app. Ticket collection is a hell of a lot faster than collecting cash from people that don't have it ready or don't know how much the zone fare is until they board.
  7. 5453 is back at Hale (Never assigned to GH). They get a unit or two on loan almost every day like Quill borrows artics from The Bronx every morning.
  8. They're most likely taking the word from what's on the wikis. Even I'm confused as to where that info came from.
  9. The 84P is a ONEBus route so the unit in question is not an ex Coach USA bus. It looks like the tap and go readers are not on the contracted routes as of yet.
  10. Yup, yup. The current depot will still be active during the time the new one is being constructed. OPINION bit: That’s smart imo. Also, Moving routes and buses over to Stengel and QV would have been a logistical nightmare.
  11. The plans for the new Jamaica depot have been outlined. https://new.mta.info/project/jamaica-bus-depot-expansion Phase for the construction of the temporary parking lot at York College (Q2-Q4 of this year) Phase for the demolition of the current parking lot and construction of the new depot (Q2 2024-Q3 2025) Phase for remediation and demolition of existing bus depot and south lot (Q3 2025-Q2 2026) Phase for the new parking lot and administrative building (Q4 2025-Q1 2027) The whole project is expected to be fully completed by Q1 2027.
  12. I don't think it is. From what I remember, Jamaica is a training depot and the Xcelsiors are the standard training buses so they kept some Xcelsiors after the swap with GH earlier this year. Someone feel free to correct this.
  13. Bus depots slapping their decals on loaned buses is quite common.
  14. Another user posted these on the Bus moves thread, but I figured they fit here for consistency sake: 7137, 7139, 7146, 7153, 7161, 7167, 7168, 7171, 7173, 7175, 7178, 9016, 9041 have been retired.
  15. With those two sent down there, 5825 was sent up here in exchange. Still not sure if they're just loans though.
  16. Well the DOB has done crazy things in the past so I wouldn't rule out the possibilty of it staying in Manhattan (Either MHV keeps it ot its sent to Quill with the other 7500s).
  17. Just to make note of it, the MHV hybrids are only there on loan.
  18. The M66 is heading back to Quill in the next pick. It's safe to assume the diesels are being sent back, though that can change. Also, the M60 is staying put at Hale in the next pick.
  19. I'd wait until that unit leaves the depot before posting that its retired.
  20. It was literally in the same post made a while ago. It’s best to check back or refresh the page before posting moves.
  21. Yeah, some dude(s) has been removing the Quill stickers on some of the Quill units as of late. 9698, 9724, and a few others have the old MHV decal exposed, with an Xcelsior having a Jamaica decal exposed.
  22. 9752 has been at Quill since the hybrid swap happened last year. I'm surprised that 4672 was sent down for roach issues when it ran earlier this morning.
  23. Already knew that. I do admit I needed to word my response better to not make it look like I said that "Meadowlands has pieces of the 161" or something like that. That being said, a Meadowlands unit sometimes makes its way up whever a unit is straight up borrowed from there.
