  1. Hale Novas 5447-5448 and 5460 now have bike racks. So far, Hale units 5444-5445, 5447-5448, 5451, 5454, 5458, 5460, 5466-5467 have bike racks.
  2. Maybe? Best case scenario, it's just the flooring that got bent and can be replaced easily. Worst case scenario, the frame is too damaged for a repair to be feasible. Either way, that 5-car set (2411-2415) is going to be out for quite a while.
  3. Per the MTA site, the service disruptions made after the derailment at 96th St will still be ongoing for the rest of the day: At least until the end of the day: No service between 137 St-City College and Times Sq-42 St. Take trains or buses. Emergency teams are conducting an investigation after a train derailed near ‌96 St‌. trains are running in two sections: Between 137 St and 242 St Extremely limited service between South Ferry and 42 St. Northbound trains are running express from Chambers St to Times Sq-42 St. For northbound service to/from local stops from Chambers St to 28 St, take M20 and M55 buses. For service between 137 St-City College and 215 St, consider M4, M5, Bx7, and M100 buses. For service between Marble Hill-225 St and Van Cortlandt Park-242 St, consider Bx3, Bx9, and Bx10 buses. Metro North is cross-honoring between Marble Hill-225 St and Grand Central-42 St. For additional service between: 168 St-Washington Hts and Chambers St, consider Trains. South Ferry and Times Sq-42 St, consider trains, and M20 and M55 buses. Posted: 01/04/2024 07:15 PM
  4. The word going around is that an uptown collided with a work train in front of it at 96th. https://www.nbcnewyork.com/news/local/subway-derailment-manhattan-upper-west-side/5006930/
  5. Same with 4454. Only 4202 was kept at JFK. Side note, the Tuskegee loans from West Farms don’t always need to be reported. Barring a few exceptions, the West Farms loans only stick around for a day or two compared to the loans from Gun Hill and Kingsbridge.
  6. I personally have seen it in person various times even thought I don’t live in Brooklyn. I saw it do a few Manhattan shuttle bus runs in August and not too long ago on the Q54.
  7. Someone mentioned that it was scrapped in 2022, but it has been in regular service at Fresh Pond. It was never corrected in the scrap thread. You can easily find pics and clips of the bus online from last year.
  8. It wasn’t. 4068 is still in service at Fresh Pond (On loan at ENY).
  9. If they did, the 44 would of had to turn onto Webster and Fordham Rd a la Bx55 to go back down. Or the routing would of had to be adjusted to go via Bathgate so they can take over the layover spot of the bee-line buses. Side note, it would of been better if the proposal opinion bit was made a separate post instead of cramming it with the reply to my post.
  10. Those two did see two publicly announced arrests. A 14-year old that threw a cinderblock on a Train cab. For the window bashing, 46-year old Davide Perre was arrested. He had 10-counts of criminal mischief for breaking security cameras in the system since November 2022, but the courts obviously didn't stop him from continuing his antics. https://www.cbsnews.com/newyork/news/2-arrests-made-in-connection-to-subway-vandalism/
  11. Eh, I don't think it's back. I know there have been times where transee picks up erroneous data like it detecting 5476 along Webster in November (even though it was still at Eastchester). I've learned to not fully rely on what tracker sites have, though some people have been taking the word of tracking sites and discord bots for granted a bit too much as of late.
  12. I personally didn’t see how they were going to cram in the Q44 buses with the Bx15 and 17 occupying the limited space at Fordham Plaza.
  13. Most likely loans just like the last time a batch was sent to Quill.
  14. I've seen it on some MHV and KB units in the past. It's an issue that pops up everywhere, not just the Stengel units.
  15. It was on layover, though it had a Coach operator on board and the unit itself was still in Coach colors.
  16. I wonder how often does a bus break down before entering the Lincoln Tunnel. I saw Fairview's 9001 being checked on while heading to Manhattan, though thankfully it wasn't blocking the lanes.
  17. So 6511 (a bus that was used on the former Newark One routes) was sent to Community Coach. Saw it parked at the Main Ave terminal in Passaic still in Coach livery.
  18. It was like this a month ago when some users kept posting moves based on whatever showed up on the discord bot.
  19. All Bronx OA depots have their own fleet of Xcelsiors ranging from the 2 electrics at KB to the 135 standard and artic CNG’s at West Farms. The fleet uniformity idea was pretty much thrown out the window ages ago.
  20. Again, do not soley rely on trackers to guess whether a bus was retired or not. For 3415, its only been oos for a few weeks not months. Not sure where 3329 is.
