  1. An interesting G.O. on the next weekend: ELECTRICAL IMPROVEMENTS No trains between Woodlawn and Kingsbridge Rd Free shuttle buses provide alternate service Weekend, 3:30 AM Sat to 10 PM Sun, Nov 18 - 19 service operates between Kingsbridge Rd and New Lots Av. Buses operate between Woodlawn and Kingsbridge Rd, stopping at Mosholu Pkwy and Bedford Pk Blvd. • Transfer between trains and buses at Kingsbridge Rd.
  2. The and are the only ones scheduled to go up to 96th Street, and it's only ONE train. There's only the one in the AM rush, it runs from roughly 7 AM (leaving Bay Ridge to go to 96th) to 9 AM (as a going from 96th to Coney).
  3. Interesting... any chance that it'll hit service or will it just be sent over to MTA Bus before then?
  4. I'll probably see it at 34th Street on my way to school, I can probably take it to 96th on Tuesday since I won't have to be at school until much later
  5. I honestly doubt it, but does anyone know if the R62A is out this weekend (since it showed up for the same G.O. back in October)?
  6. What time does is that R supposed to run? Also, I'm assuming it'll go south as a Q to Coney Island?...
  7. From what I’ve noticed, it only runs really earlier in the morning: it starts running at around 7 and goes back to the depot at like 9 or so
  8. It's actually 3.1 miles long, including the entire loop from Coney Island to Bayview Avenue and back. I also just learned that one trip usually takes 21 minutes. I can run 5 kilometers (3.1 miles) for cross country races in under 19 minutes. That means I can literally run faster than this bus... wut
  9. XD60s on the Q70? That would be pretty dope! But wouldn't getting into the Victor Moore Terminal at 74th be kinda tricky?
  10. Do you know if it starts running from Bronx Park or does it only start from Riverbank State Park?
  11. Any idea what part of the AM 1016 is usually out? And is it going to be like 677 where it does one or two trips on the Bx19 and driver training for the rest of the day?
  12. Yeah, and if you consider the fact that the Q38 travels between Metropolitan Avenue and Woodhaven Blvd / 63rd Drive - Rego Park, you can basically almost go in a complete loop to and from Queens going through Manhattan and Brooklyn for just $2.75!
  13. XD60 and yeah, only three weeks to go. I think they'll start running on the Q52/Q53 Limited tomorrow though
  14. They can be used as layup tracks if needed. They also can serve as an extra switching point from the local to the express track and vice versa. I've been on a few uptown trains that have stopped at 59th Street on the local track (since there was a stalled train on the express track), have continued on the local track to 72nd Street, then switched to the middle track and then to the express track just before 81st Street.
  15. The northbound platform of the Kings Hwy is online, and possibly other stations as well, so I'm guessing Brighton will be going online very soon
  16. Usually they want to see whether or not a local will show up before the Select does. Since some local drivers don't cross-honor SBS tickets, it sorta makes sense.
  17. Do you know if subway brochures will also have this new look with the Vignelli?
  18. I probably would have also bailed and taken the (4), but at that time the is awful between 149th and 125th, and a complete nightmare between 42nd and 14th. I think one time in May I decided to take the from Grand Central and ended up passing 4 or so express trains between 42nd and 14th. I just take the to the instead whenever I leave around 8 just to avoid the ... (granted, it probably wouldn't have been as bad as yesterday. I also probably could've walked over to the or , but since I was heading to Union Square that wouldn't have worked out for me.
  19. I've definitely seen some Orion OG hybrids with the Far Rockaway logos, although I think most of them have JFK stickers
