  1. That’s the 2nd Flatbush bus to be saved from the chop shop.
  2. Part of me thinks that the swapping of the LFSA’s and XD60’s is being done all wrong. (Above my pay grade) However, I’m starting to understand the maintenance side of things with these buses. However, when no extra buses come in you run into bottlenecks and a struggle to meet service for the day.
  3. Which begs me one question. FB should of gotten all Kingsbridge buses from the rip and not Fresh Pond, Grand Avenue and Yukon buses. Sheesh, if problems persist, can they return back to respective depots? However, thank god the best mechanics come from East New York and Flatbush. Very confident that FB mechanics will make the necessary fixes on these buses. Noticed a few 76xx buses working the 44+ yesterday during the day. Also, a bit surprised that no new artics or the MJQ Replacements have shown up yet.
  4. That's just only him.. How about the rest of the delegation..... b/c honestly and truthfully the rest of the delegation don't care..
  5. Gerristen Beach is like Sheepshead Bay and Staten Island.. Tons of Police, FDNY and EMS people living in the area.. In the 1990's Canarsie was once considered NYPD/FDNY/EMS territory. However, most of Canarsie has turned urban and people moving from Flatbush, East Flatbush and East New York descending into Canarsie. Now, in regards of transportation lets remember the delegation of Southern Brooklyn is what I called bougie. If people like Helen Weinstein, David G. Greenfield, Chaim Deutsch, Mathieu Eugene, Darlene Mealy, Kevin Parker are in office there will be no change in regards to Southern and Central Brooklyn. They are quick to scream about cuts. However, won't be an agent of change when it comes to transportation issues. If some young progressives can make the change and change the tide than we can possibly see some Gerristen Beach and Sheepshead Bay bus changes. Brooklyn deserves the treatment of Manhattan. PERIOD!
  6. With that transfer.. You was right they did borrow and the depot stickers did not switch. However, it was there for training.. MCH still has 6128. NYCT needs to move on the MCH delivery tho.. Those 12xx buses are seriously taking a beating and need to be on local like ASAP. Hopefully, KB, GH, TU and I would like to throw a wild card.. Grand Avenue to take on these buses.. Although, Brooklyn Division is designated New Flyer territory. However, 4754 is at Grand Avenue, I don't know if operators and mechanics have gotten a chance to train and operate on the B38 or Q58 for revenue service.
  7. Listen, no problem big homie.. It's been a bit crazy on NYCT as of late... FB and MJQ been swapping as of late. However, MCH did need a extra bus to train and they took 6138 for a ride.. I saw it back in Brooklyn yesterday afternoon. Also do remember FB allotment has been reduced once again. This time to 29 buses per moderators. However, bus delivery has been slow. So we don't know if FB and MJQ will share a decent amount of 615x, and 616x buses and or FB taking MJQ recent set of buses. Stay tuned!
  8. Looks like they may have those ads on other lines. Who knows wraps may be on the way. I mean the shuttle- 42nd street has them already.
  9. Just seen a set of 92xx cars on the train with ads for I love New York.
  10. Those 3 nursing homes are serviced by the B4 and 44 and as for the UA Theater. Mostly car centric people go to that theater, but also the B4 services that area. As for this Knapp Street bus service: The NIMBY people in that area would prefer NO bus service on that stretch of Sheepshead Bay. Sheepshead is mostly car centric. Although, you have Nostrand Avenue, Avenue U, Avenue Z bus service that should stay the way it is. The only thing Knapp Street should be used is for deadheads and detours. That is it. The same is felt with Gerristen Beach. Although you have the B31 and BM4, they don’t have as much issues as Sheepshead. Plain and simple. It boils down to politics in Southern Brooklyn. Delegation doesn’t care about transit. However, the first to complain when it comes to service cuts.
  11. 6138 wasn’t tracking. However, it was in Manhattan earlier this week. Plus MCH hasn’t received delivery as they are still training with 6128. Also, it was confirmed that 6138 did leave for Manhattan. It’s now back in Brooklyn.
  12. 6138 MCH to FB. Back home. Working the B44SBS with FB decals.
  13. Transit Tech teaches bus maintenance to its students.
  14. Ahh copy copy. I believe there’s a interline with the S61, S44 and S79. (correct me please)
  15. Can I get confirmation on YUK 4246. It appears it’s off the SBS fleet and operating on the S61 heading to the Mall.
  16. Copy. Glad you did the research. So it’s safe to say they are still in Yukon awaiting to be moved. Sometimes @Calvin is too fast in reporting. Not to say he is not accurate with the moves. However, confirm before reporting.
  17. Already reported this morning. Also, 4226, 4228, 4231 all working on Flatbush routes today. They were in Maintenance bays last night being worked on.
  18. I agree with you @Via Garibaldi 8 Sunday service at the least is warranted for the Rockaways. As long as the demand is there than its definitely warranted. Keep up the good work on the initiatives.
  19. First off. Stop with the abbreviations. All these A, B,C abbreviation need to stop and just have individual express buses it’s already confusing with the SIM1, SIM1C, SIM3, 3C, 33, 33C. However, I will say this. If demand is there an a express bus to the Rockaway beaches is warranted. However, how do you convince people to pay 6.75 for the beaches to Rockaways?
  20. Q35 definitely. The 2nd route I’d suggest would be the Q22. However, I would only extend the 22 only to the Junction for the beach season and certain AM/PM rush hours.
  21. Good news is that I have family and friends in Arverne and Rockaway Beach. Yes, that is correct tons of residents are parked in their usual spots on the weekends thus the no parking. However, you gotta be there early in the day. Forget about nights and near the marina. As for the transportation element: There needs to be more frequent bus service to the beaches via the Q22, Q52/Q53SBS.
  22. I travel to the Rockaways all the time sir, and yes it’s a pretty hip spot. However, if you don’t have the Q22, Q35 schedules to meet the demand people like myself will drive to the Rockaways. PS: When I worked at JFK I’d travel through the Rockaways and Inwood to reach to work if the Belt was jammed up. Also with the bus service train demand and Far Rockaway, Hewlett LIRR stations also have to meet the demand for the Rockaway beaches. 🏖
  23. Leave that for the vans. NYCT has no business to produce such service. The trains are the best way to go for the beaches, Brooklyn, Bronx and Rockaways If there was better marketing for the B1, B49, B64 and B74 for the Brooklyn Beaches and Bx12, Bx29 for Orchard Beach for the summer customers would be inclined to use the bus alternate. However, I’m not paying 6.75 each way to any of these dirty beaches, and speaking about beaches and express bus. The BxM8 City Island-Pelham Bay Express gets you the closest to Orchard Beach 🏖.
  24. .... Damm Castleton. Yukon should of been better off sending some buses to its neighbor crosstown. That bus will be a road call once it reaches the terminal.
