  1. @BreeddekalbL: Don’t ask me how I saw it. Did a double take. Couldn’t get back to my car in time to take picture.
  2. 7326 on the B44SBS+ this morning. If anyone happens to see it. It’s heading towards Flushing. Spotted it at 6:40 this morning via the Junction.
  3. I may need to start checking my mail if this is the case. I’m list # 99xx and hopefully I don’t have to come in this weekend. Hopefully, before years end I get in and take OPA test.
  4. .... I totally agree with both of you guys. Drivers and maintenance should definitely have a say to where buses should go. I could be wrong but I believe the higher ups have the final say is to where fleets end up.
  5. How about does not want LFS in Brooklyn b/c of maintenance. None of the Brooklyn maintenance facilities can’t do extensive LFS work. They can do some but not all work. Extensive work is done at Zerega. Unless decides to built another Maintenance facility in Brooklyn that can house NOVAS than its all good.
  6. You are correct. WF is usually the wild card with this RTS thing. Thank You for the reminder.
  7. RTS staying in Brooklyn, Queens and Manhattan for now unless things change. West Farms sent out its last RTS last year to Jamaica and East New York.
  8. However, Staten Island is not due for new buses until November/December at the earliest. It would be funny if the can accelerate this order a bit early so that Staten Island can have some new fleet.
  9. The only time those NG's made it to mainland was sometime in 2013 or 2014 before the S79 had it's SBS and Yukon sent down 5 buses to FB on loan for a week. After that they were ghost. FB never bother swapping decals since they were on loan.. This time these buses should head to Fresh Pond, Flatbush. This is something I need to put in random thoughts: Why don't East New York and Ulmer Park have NG's?
  10. Don't like the B54, Q55 idea for 2 things.. 1) No need for a Downtown Brooklyn to Jamaica route via Myrtle 2) Myrtle traffic is extreme overkill along with Metro Ave Although there is still talk about a Ridgewood to Downtown Brooklyn SBS. However right now that has quiet down a little. Q83/Q112 is pretty weird to me only because those 2 lines serve completely different areas of queens. I wouldn't want to travel between Queens Village and Ozone Park via that combo. Although yes, those buses do meet in Jamaica. However, I don't see a real combo for this line. Q12/66: This I think could really work plus with an possible extension to Great Neck.
  11. That sounds a bit more accurate. I would often see M22 buses parked around Chinatown. I believe that short turn was short lived tho.. Sometime around 2004 when I started working in Lower Manhattan that got eliminated and I believe City Hall became the short turn trip. (Correct me as I could possibly be wrong on this)
  12. Hopefully those 42xx buses will make their way to the mainland of Brooklyn or Manhattan.
  13. Saw that on my trip back to East Flatbush today. People getting off the bus and handing tickets off to other passengers.
  14. Yes, just noticed Connecticut and MBTA-Boston has numbering scheme. You are correct with CT redoing their system within the last year and plus expanding the Metro-North network possibly to serve Hartford.
  15. OK.. In my situation I took the B46 Southbound to KP. The announcements do a great job providing connections to subway and other lines along the 46. Got on at Eastern Parkway and got off at Flatlands Ave. I gotta ride it northbound one day soon.
  16. Why can't and integrate electronic consoles? All these new buses we are getting until 2022 at the earliest need to come with the finest of the finest. The future is right here in New York City if we have these on buses
  17. @East New York: Thank you for the updates. Patience is always key to this line of business as things change. 2) However, pretty excited that we are possibly getting the D45CRT LE, hopefully can throw in some D4500CT's 2018/2019 with the order. 4) XE60 artic would be something great for these NYC streets. 5) XDE60 artic i could only guess that's going to Manhattan 7) You did mention about the B46 going artic and its definitely about time that it does. 8.)B82SBS+ is pretty interesting with some of the construction that has gone on in Canarsie and Starrett City already. Hopefully a restructure of the route can get things moving in the right direction. 10) Hopefully this re-design project could do alot of things. I would like and to take a few pages from Philly, Baltimore and DC and create a numbering scheme, also address issues especially with the outerboroughs that require mostly with Über, Lyft, via transportation, black car, plus address and introduce intraborough services with service to Long Island (Nassau) and Lower Westchester providing if there's adequate market.
  18. Negative.. This one is a bit different. Cant remember who has the contract for the new announcements. However, these announcements are better than the 73xx buses.
  19. Something that needs to be on future orders is electronic run consoles for Local and Express buses. With exception to the Prevosts they come by default.
  20. All I know is that 7363, 7364 and 7365 left. 7362 made the trip to ENY?
  21. 7619 to Flatbush Avenue. (FB). In service on the B46SBS. I’m on board 7621. These newer XD40’s are definitely smooth. Announcements are clear. Give it a few months they will slap a rear ad on these buses.
  22. As of right now. Those buses are for Flatbush SBS46. No longer for East New York. No B82SBS until further notice. Check page 1. Updated as of 5/29.
  23. Give me lower Manhattan traffic before you ever give me the BQE/Gowanus/Prospect and I’m from Brooklyn. Brooklyn traffic is FAR worse than Lower Manhattan.
  24. Bad news. It doesn’t. You thinking more of the lines of Worth Street and Centre street for Foley Square. I don’t think there was ever a short turn from Foley Square for the M22. Maybe for City Hall. There’s no parking in the area of Foley Square.
